Dude I LOVE Bishop. My grandparents have been taking my brother and I since we were born for Mule Days, almost 24 years! Lots of memories with them. They are too old to go now which makes me really sad but I try to make it up there a few times a year just to relive the memories. I was actually supposed to go up there this weekend but the wife decided to have appendicitis If you ever need a wheeling buddy hit me up!

I went to a TW meet once about 4 years ago that was like that, but it was out on BLM land outside of Joshua Tree, wide open desert basically so it wasn't so bad. At night though it was like a desert rave party, not really up for anything like that again lol.

That was the worst part, went to bed at like 11 and people were up till dawn practically. That's how Pismo is too esp in the summer.

Planning a trip to pismo for the end of the month. Any suggestions on where to camp? I've heard there are some good campgrounds in the los padres nf.

In Pismo specifically? You just kinda pick a spot wherever, just can't camp in the dunes themselves. Most of the camping is on the beach

Although I think it's worth going at least once just to say you wheeled in the dunes on the beach. Not many places you can do that in the US. It's just that Pismo becomes a shit show when it gets crowded, which is pretty often. This time of year is probably the best time to go though, during the week if you can

Yeah, I can imagine it being filled with bro assholes so I just want to wheel there during the day on a weekday. The rest of the trip will be in los padres nf. Hoping to find a campsite relatively close to pismo for a couple nights but definitely not on the beach.

 

I'm not sure on areas around Pismo but I'm sure there are some.

I've been there a few times and the most enjoyable one was when we went during the week in the winter. Should have a good time

Starting October, mostly, I will have weekends off which really begin on Thursday afternoons.

Seeing as how my schedule has become a slight bit more flexible, I'm hoping you guys can narrow down a weekend that works best for you all.
