Science. I’ve had so many people show up with half the amount we agreed on and still expect me to let them take it. “ATM would only let me take out x amount” is the usual excuse. Not my problem.

For the majority of the welding I do .023 wire works just fine I like the better control. Being able to do body panels to 1/4"

Small jobs can get stick welded. Being it is all for fun and not paying bills .

If I need to get serious it only takes a Set of Drive Rolls Swapped and gun change to go to .052 I really Don`t miss rebuilding 5 yard Buckets .

There was never a Machine Torch Option for the ICE 40C torch I am not sure if anything else will work.

If your interested I can ask of the brain Trust those discussions that should be billed at $600.00 an hour.

Thanks, Craig, I'm good. I got enough money wrapped up in this thing.

I have the Primeweld Cut 60amp and my compressor seems to keep up okay. I've made some 8' cuts on 3/8" plate when cutting 4'x8' sheets down and I didn't have any issues with pressure drop.

@gpb I am pretty confident in the sale because the guy is my former boss, and he has been after me for several years about when I am going to sell him the Harley. He already bought my Yamaha. Only reason he would back out is I have a 1982 shovelhead. He has a late model Harley and the ride is completely different. He says he wants "an older bike", but we'll see. He is supposed to come ride it in the next week or so. He definitely has the money.

Edit: and BTW, no matter how big of a garage a guy has, he's always gonna want more space. :) It just takes a little longer to over-fill the darned thing.

this is something a friend dropped off, its a 2nd gen Radio mounting thingy we're messing with.
Two of these will slide between the dash and the radio giving you some "ears" to mount stuff to like a Radio, or something to mount a GPS to etc..

I took a picture of the cardboard, then imported it into Fusion, did some scaling and some "tracing" and volia. I have a working CAD file I can tweak and hopefully cut out of sheet metal.

    and its free!
    such a cool program.

I'm just now learning scaling. Yes, this is going to open up lots of new roads.

No welding but thought I’d share anyways since I played with my plasma and it’s fabrication.

Why do stupid little brackets like these always seem to take forever?! I guess it’s from all the fitment checking and measurement taking. Took like 90 min to make these. Cut out with the plasma and bent in my vice with a 3lb hammer.

Just using as a hobbyist, never had any issues with this Cambell-Hausfield compressor keeping up. As I said in previous post, I have single cut 8' of 3/8" plate without issue. Not sure what you plan to cut as far as length and thickness, but this is working for me so far.

    upload_2021-3-5_21-6-51.jpg

Here is what the Primeweld manual shows for PSI for different material types. It has no SCFM requirements.

1st category is mild steel. Cut off the title when cropping.

80'x 80' but for a small office and living quarters .

The Tool boxes sit in what may be a Living Room if the body does not quit .

Well this was a frustrating and difficult lesson on working with sheet metal on the truck bed. The hardest part is the metal is not consistent because it was originally cut and bashed with a hammer by me to fit something into the space back in 2017. Now I wanted to seal it back up.

    Started here:

    3B815C57-32C4-44BF-84E5-124519A46F68.jpg

I used the tack/cool method to build little bridges over the gaps, and then had enough material where I could do long sweeps back and forth between each side:

    E0674F51-D538-47B7-8C63-1961293D107D.jpg

Then I cut a filler piece and welded it in:

    BBB1499A-4B67-4FB3-803D-9B62FC565FD0.jpg

My next step was going to go back over all of it to try to fill in the gaps I missed but then I burnt through on the top corner and spent 45 mins chasing my tail try to fill it back in. I should have let it cool instead of kept trying to go at it. Definitely not into body work on bent and rusty metal lol. I think a resto job is not something I would ever attempts

I'm glad I build these things knowing I may have to take it apart.

Owner decided to try his hand at fabbing, by adding 3' to the rear of the frame. Trailer was untowable being ass heavy. Tapped out and called me to see if I could move the axle back. I'll never be without my portable band saw.

    Not everyone thinks things through.

I wonder why they just did not get a longer trailer to start?

How much did you move it back gotta be real close then to the tongue being to heavy unless one is careful how things get loaded.

This trailer has an extra heavy tail gate. Moving the axle back 12" should be about right.

Do you mean you’re moving it 12” off center to the back?
