Issues with new SPC UCA’s

Hey guys! So I recently installed bilstein 5100’s w/ OME springs. After I finished the lift I went and had my new icon alloys put on my 285/70R/17 milestar Patagonia’s. After the new wheels and tires were put on, I had zero rubbing even at full lock. Cleared perfectly! But since my kit that I ordered came with SPC’s UCA I figured let’s go ahead and switch them out no big deal. After I installed the new UCA’s I had MAJOR camber issues. I figured the alignment shop would be able to fix it. I took it in this morning and they said the UCA were maxed out and couldn’t get it 100%. My tires are still bowing inward and the alignment is off. I received the truck and when I went to leave I had to do a 4 point turn because I was rubbing so bad. I’ve considered putting the stock UCA’s back on because I had no issues or try and take it to a shop that deals with more aftermarket parts. What do you guys think I should do? Reads like the alignment shop doesn't know what they are doing.

 

So this is my before and after from the alignment shop. I know last night I had to have the ball joint all the way back toward the shock to get somewhat straight. But it was still

 

#1 reason why I always recommend JBA's, caster etc is already built in. Most shops have zero fucking clue how to do SPC adjustable UCA's

 

That's wrong 100% supposed to be flipped 180*

That’s why I joined the army I guess can’t follow pictures and instructions ‍♂️. So flip the ball joint 180* and should be G2G?

 

Yep. You'll still need to find an alignment shop that knows what they are doing though. A tech should that knows SPC's would have caught that mistake in a second.

 

Hopefully the alignment shop will fix/refund... did you provide them the instructions when they installed them?

 

So they didn’t charge me because they couldn’t get it 100% I’m about to flip it like you guys said and try again Monday. Thanks guys I’ll keep it posted

Wow sorry OP

 

Mine is kicked all the way back so I have 4.5 degrees of caster. Doesnt help with cab clearance much but a saw and hammer fixed that.

 

Give them the instruction sheet too.
