I dunno. People definitely get altitude sickness starting at around 10k ft, 12k+ if you are sensitive or aren't acclimated it can be deadly. so maybe the combined lack of oxygen with booze makes you feel more drunk but not necessarily more drunk

Absolutely. The bigger the relay, the more satisfying the noise too.

 

I will agree with that absolutely. And it begs to the subjectivity of what it means to "feel drunk" but that study I linked shows oxygen levels weren't the culprit because the test subjects were given supplemental O2 at 20k and their BAC was much higher than the control group at 12k without supplemental O2. The 3rd test group was at 12k with O2 and they were slightly higher BAC than the non supplemental O2 group but the results were negligible

It was on clearance for $175 but its missing one pan and a lid so he gave it to me for $150. Added a 20% off coupon and some store credit too.

Now to just learn how to cook...

So it's truly just elevation then and not oxygen. I guess that explains why people claim to feel booze more in an airplane at well above 20k, despite the fact that pressure and oxygen are controlled in the cabin. Interesting

 

Yea that study was done by the FAA in an attempt to understand the phenomenon. it was inconclusive as to why elevation makes a difference, just the fact that it IS the elevation... trippy stuff

I'm still excited about the vacuum I bought last year.

I was stoked when we bought our first nice vacuum last year. Went through a few cheap ones that couldn't keep up with all the cat hair. Splurged on a Dyson and it was a game changer

 

Seriously. The cheap vacuums are loud, heavy and generally suck poorly. I got one of the little miele canister vacs and it's a quiet little beast. Haven't tried the golf ball and garden hose test tho.

 

I went straight to getting a pet rated bissell when i mover out my parents lol

 

How do the pets like using it?

 

My parents have a Kirby like the ones hotels use. Had it for 21 years now, still works like a champ.

I loathe the idea of having to own anything but a Kirby. But thats probably not gonna happen for my first house.
