Any shops doing OvTune flashes in Norcal?

I flashed with the 87 octane 2.0 ov tune. I see that someone down socal can do a "Sibi tune" for a similar performance of 91 Oct or better. I understand the benefits running with 91 Oct but I wanted the flexibility of 87oct if I ever run out gas out there or only available gas station that 87 Oct(Baja? ). Haha.. Very unlikely but you never know. Atleast Chan is local and can get it reflash if I decide to go 91oct when I regear to 5.29 this year. But so far so good!

Last I heard it was $250, but don't quote me on that one. I might DM him today and see if it's cash/card or if it matters.

 

Chan tuned my 2019 near Sac last week and it was $250 cash only. Good guy, knowledgeable, and professional.

Went with his performance tune. Loving it. Recommend taking a screen shot from his laptop of the tune files used for your own reference. Fun talking to some of the others getting tuned.

I'm curious about this, does it provide a noticable benefit over the stock system for all model years? I have a 2020 AT, have noticed some weird shifting stuff esp in lower/ middle gears, but it could also just be that I've only owned the truck for a couple months and am unfamiliar with how it's "supposed" to be. If it improves general performance I would be very interested, am located in Santa Cruz but certainly could travel to south bay to have it done if that's an option.

 

I own a 2017 and can confirm the weird shifting does not go away.

My biggest gripe is when trying to pull away from a stop quickly (traffic..) the truck acts like it doesn’t know what to do and so it does nothing for a few couple seconds. Gets nail bitey.

I’ve been watching OVTunes from the first when they popped up here and I really want to do it but haven’t had the $$ or the time so I’m glad there is a local ish guy doing it.

Some day I’ll be able to catch up with him and get it done. I’m kind of out of the way for most of his meets so far...

 

I got tuned at the Sac meet today by @chanvchau and I’m very happy, so far (50 miles). Thank you sir!

Got there early and i think they got up to 50 on the list. Cool rigs, nice folks. Quite a meet up today as i wasn’t expecting that many folks.

Got tuned in 10 minutes and I was on my way. I opted for the base 2.0, but he does have performance tunes available. May do later at the next meet as reflashes are free.99

Biggest con was I had to take a leak 2 hours in and there wasn’t a restroom. At least i didn’t see one.

I just got the CVC tune done by Chan.

The moment I took off I immediately noticed the change in throttle response. Night and Day from stock.

If you're on the fence about getting a tune, do it and if you can, get it done by Chan. He's a super chill guy, the kind you can go on a trail with or a camping trip.

Better MPG will probably kick in after the break in period.

 

Is it possible to get the KDMax tune.
