I have their kit. I picked it up from a guy in Vegas who still had it new in box for a killer deal. Here is my take away from running it for the last year:

Frist I needed bypass mounts, coilovers and axle shafts. I reached out to baja kits and they told me to get fucked because I did not buy the kit from them. I reached out to a few people on TW and Dirt King and they helped me get the rest of the parts I needed.

2nd: The bushings on the kit suck. I blew those out quickly after 3 trips. Then replaced with delrin. You can order delrin bushings from baja kit's for $200 for uppers and $200 for lowers. Over priced and they are just sending you parts they ordered from Kartek.

3rd: They charge just as much as the other guys in the LT market but Baja kits use lower grade Auroa Uniballs rather than the industry standard FK Rod Ends. The Auroa lower uniballs didn't make it 6 months before they shit out on me.

So lower grade components, shitty customer service who don't get a flying shit about their customers, and the same price as the other guys - I'd go somewhere else.

IMO, in this industry, good customer service and being able to get someone on the phone or to answer an email is worth paying double for something (not that it always does but you get the point). Just wait until you are in a bind needing a small part and something like the above happens and they tell you to get fucked (assuming they tell you anything at all). This isn't a cheap hobby, don't be cheap and regret it later.

Yeah totally agreed customer service is huge in the automotive industry in general. I work in the classic car industry and man it's huge. Like prime example look at all the negative things people have to say. I haven't received that yet from them that can also be due to the fact that they just got my wife's money. Ill try it out and see worst case scenario I'm totally willing to and have the money for my jd fab kit it was just a nice little surprise from the misses but I will without a doubt be more on edge with them since people have a lot of negative things to say but so far I talked with their shop manager Trevor and he seemed like a cool guy but i'll play it by ear and keep you guys updated on it !

10.5 tundra rear? should be pretty close since its like 72" wide wms to wms. I'm 0 offset 285's right now and i'm only 84" but i've got some new stuff showing up on monday that will probably take me almost to your width.

Having gone +2 first i will say this, I really did enjoy my TC kit, it was the basic kit but my turning radius was awesome. My truck turned on a dime with that kit on. Now i've got Dirt Designs +3.5 kit on and performance wise it blows the tc out of the water. But i really wanted the kit because I just wanted to hit stuff harder and faster than my TC kit could keep up with. The only downside to the DD kit is the turning radius because of the vertical uniballs, but its a trade off in that with 10" coils and some 934 inner cv's that kit should be able to outcycle anything that isin't also vertical uniballs. So it gives me something i can upgrade to later without having to start all over again which i enjoy.....since i can't seem to stop rethinking everything on my truck.

That’s how it works. I was considering similar. Part of me figures if I go 3.5 for full send mashing I need to build the truck different. it’s a 50/50 full send/expo family adventure truck. with that in mind +2 seemed like a better fit. Good travel but not full send status. I regret only going 12” in the rear should have gone 14-16” would yah made the decision easier.

Yeah I’ve only got 12” in the rear but I’m gonna go link sometime around the end of the year.... gotta start getting the parts in and piece my rear axle together. But yeah I should have at least mounted some 14” bypasses in the back....woulda been at least worth something when I go to sell them that way...lol

Yeah the 10.5 hoping it keeps the rear about 1-2” narrower overall which by my rough math it should.

You won't use a 14" shock on most of your SOA setups. I've tried. Ended up limiting the shock a bit due to other limitations. If you tried to fit a 14" bypasses the zoning would be all wrong and your ride quality would suffer. 12" is the way to go unless you're going SUA or a different direction.

yah that was the main reason I did not go with it and ended up on 12 bypasses. If I went 14-16” I likely would have a SUA setup but currently has a ton of weight needs/issues

but i am sua.......doesn't matter anyways though since i'm not gonna put more money into this particular rear end setup.

Lesson for LT newbs: either keep your Dakar pack and 12" shocks or: buy a DMZ spring under; or do a proper 4 link.

Don't fuck around with anything else.

    Sincerely,
An asshole who's going.to rebuild his rear end again next year.

Speaking of rebuilding rear ends I have a brand new DMZ spring under that’s already been welded on and I’m already thinking about chopping the frame and doing a 4 link.
