    *stupid question alert*

Picked up some bed bars off of KSL. The paint is chipping with spots of rust and I'd like to refinish them. Any suggestions on the most efficient way to remove the paint? When I did the bed rack on my 1st gen it looked something like this.....

    It was very very inefficient.

    Remove all the paint?

    I’d have them sand blasted.

Yeah, remove the paint and rust spots. I'll drop a pic when I get a chance.

If it was just the rust spots I'd just wire brush them and spray paint to match.

For the whole rack I'd get them blasted cause it'd be the easiest I think.

wire wheel that shit. But I also bought some sandpaper at Home Depot the other day that was incredible, might be worth the shot.
Hopefully it’s not powder coat and it’s just spray paint.

Sandy clay base, but around here in UT more referring to tacky because the dirt's damp, but not wet. Often called "Hero Dirt" because the extra traction allows you to ride at full potential. I think Jin and I knocked like 15 mins off my prior best cuz the soil condition was perfect.

    Hey All,

Was talking with a coworker and he was saying that Fins and things should be no problem for my stock trd off-road long bed. He said that there is always a by pass for any obstacles. I have rock sliders and a front skid but would prefer to stay off both of those lol.

What’s your guys thoughts a stock rig on fin and things?

I've haven't done fins n things in my taco. Done Hells in my DCSB. Did just perfectly fine. I would imagine fins and things would be fine. There are plenty of workaroudns so I wouldn't worry too much about it. :)

Would it be recommended to leave my tow hitch in my hitch receiver to ensure I slide on it instead of my hitch receiver or my rear bumper?
It’s just a standard tow hitch that I don’t sliding it on rocks

I did Hell's Revenge when I was mostly stock, it's about the same difficulty as Fins. From what I've heard you should be fine.

Take the hitch out though, that'll see more ground than your tires. The receiver itself is basically a rear skid.

You're missing the alcohol, salt and chocolate groups. But, that's a dang good start!
