I definitely borrowed the idea from the GFC system. Not sure if I'll upholster the panels or how I'll finish them.

Regarding the overhang, you are correct. The floor panel will permanently stick out those ~12 inches.

Superpacific uses cable actuated latches on all their doors but they use a flush paddle actuator. I believe they use one very similar to this....

    https://www.siraweb.com/handle-9600...dMzfQcNACq5ZRGN1FgTLuuYMXi2L6dyxoCPB8QAvD_BwE

paired with a two rotary latches likes these...

    https://southco.com/en_us_int/latches/rotary-latch-systems/rotary-latches/r4-rotary-latches

@Jarman02 has point thought about them not compressing the seals enough. You would have to adjust the latches so the panel has to be push/slammed shut. Thats kinda how my snugtop rear hatch is.

Measure a ton. Dont forget to account for the hem size. Use basting tape almost everywhere (makes things much easier). Take your time. A walking foot works really well when you are doing zippers (did for me anyway)

dang it, I just drilled the holes for the weld nuts and should have checked here. I got the thinner weldnuts like NotTaco but centered them as per the Ripcord plans. Guess I'll just roll with it and see what happens, I do not feel like redrilling the holes and welding up the others.

How did everyone buy their MaxMetal panels?
I was just signing up at Grimco and received a mail saying that they will review the registration to make sure not to sell to end customers.

Now I am a bit worried that they might decline me and it seems like they are the only one selling the MaxMetal panels

seems like there a lot of brands. Unless you’re set on MaxMetal I’d see what your local sign shop has and go through them

SignORama is another place that has locations across the country that might sell the panels.

I was able to use Grimco but with my buddy’s resellers license. We’re also building three of these at a time for ourselves and a friend.

One sign shop in the area quoted me $6k for materials and cuts on three campers worth...
