This is the kind of crap I optimistically bring home -- fortunately I'm a cheapskate so I don't pay much... :frusty:

I’ve heard good things about Kroil but never tried any.

Don't feel alone, I bet we've all felt that way at one time or another.
After I get my current project money pit Corvette done, swear it will be the last.
Even with that car not finished I offered a guy money for those two old Jeeps :ohsnap:

I opened the box that the winch came in and it looks undamaged. Figured I'd look at the instructions even though it looks simple enough. Two wires to the battery o_O I hadn't seen much of a sale on these but this one ran like $579. And the mounting plate $200. These are Warn's made in China models. 20210306_184820.jpg

Do these type of links really require that much of a ball? For movement I mean. The reason I ask is because I saved a bunch of brand new ends that were taken off of hydraulic snubbers. A snubber is a type of pipe support.

On this one it doesn’t require that much movement because it can twist the shaft. I can get an end like that for less than $20 I think. I’m still not sure how it broke since it can twist.

I'll send pictures of these parts next week from work. I pulled them out of the garbage because they just looked like heavy duty forged pieces. If you ever had a use I'd box them up and ship them. I might keep a couple.

Jeez...sigh of relief. My wife been after me to get rid of a pesky possum. I just been a little reluctant. I might be getting soft in my old age. I dispatched one of these things before and it was afterwards that I learned that they are a marsupial. Seeing the little ones riding along made me feel awful.
Anyways the wife got it cornered out back and I told her throw a bucket over it, then take it several miles down the road and let it go. She got it!!!

I’ve mowed my share of them down, recently found out they eat ticks as well.

Good morning. I went to bed a little early then woke up 11:30....felt wide awake but luckily got back to sleep easily.
Still haven't heard anything from my cousin which is kind of strange. Sometimes I worry about him on that motorcycle but he's been riding a long time and had sport bikes before. This time of year between unrepaired potholes and lots of sand on the roads adds another element of danger.
I think he mentioned a date with some girl he met online. Different danger..
