I would even be into paying a bit extra for them to do an extended one...maybe...that is for further down the road though...

Maybe we should ask them if they want to offer a version with a 1 foot longer side bars... not like it would be much of a issue, unless someone else is making these in china and then shipping them here to be sold for 50 times the price.

They weren't too bad, got them for about $65-70 each off eBay a while ago. I then spent forever figuring out what tire I wanted to go with. All that time and went with the oh so typical KbrO2s...

I went down to to the Toyota dealer in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to pick up a bed mat and predator steps. Bed mat fits like a glove. The steps look and function great to help my wife and two young boys get into the truck. Plus, now I have something to kick the snow/mud off my boots before I get into the truck.

For anyone thinking about the predator steps, it’s incredibly easy to pop off 6 plastic caps per side and thread a few bolts through the steps on three mounting points under the truck. They come fully assembled and even if you are by yourself you could put a 5 gal bucket under the steps near the rear tire to balance the step while you thread the front mount first.

Oh and I put down a deposit on an A.R.E. CX HD shell and was told around 12 weeks, maybe more until delivery. Got slider windows with pet screens on the sides and slider in the front. Single latch on the back window. HD roof rack, headliner, dual rope lights with prop switch, 3x 12v power ports, clothes hook. I think it was around $3700 installed.

Also ordered one of those wireless CarPlay adaptors, we’ll see if they work well enough. I’d like to place my phone on the wireless charging mat and not have to plug anything in.

You’ll be really happy with them! I debated for so long on mine but was extremely impressed with the quality and fit!
    Nice choice!

Thanks! and they are steel center caps for the 3rd gen 4runner/1st gen taco/FJ cruiser, OE part number 42603-35610. They were pretty pricey, like $30-40, but I didn't want exposed hubs...

It really fills out the wheel well, and I've had no rubbing so far at full lock (I've yet to try it at full stuff, I might hammer at the pinch weld preemptively)

Regarding the CarPlay adapter, I have the Cplay2Air one and it works great with one exception. I’ve found that when the phone is on the OEM QI charger (because of where it’s located) I get really poor GPS signal when trying to use maps. This is obviously an issue with where the QI charger is located and not the CarPlay adapters fault, but it is worth noting. When I want to use navigation on the head unit via CarPlay, I usually just put my phone on the dash, or plug it in via cable for those occasions. Just figured it was worth mentioning.

Been thinking about the Cplay2. Curious, do you have it mounted under the dash, with the cable coming around into the USB? Or did you install it "stealth" like with no cable? I want it, but dont wan to have a random cable coming from under the dash into the USB.

I originally had it mounted above the QI charging mat via 3M tape, but kept hitting my hand off it when I went to position my phone on the mat, so I moved it and just have it tucked in between the center console and lower trim piece on the passengers side now. It doesn’t look as pretty, but it is out of my way now at least.
