Anyone got any cat converters i can borrow?

I need to borrow some cats to pass emmissions, i can return them with a tip or borrow them indefinately and leave a donation. unfortunately my cats are bad and wont pass emmissions in my county and i honestly dont have 2 grand to use on new ones.

its for a 02 taco 3.4l anyone willing to? or any suggfestions?

 

Auto Zone sells them for $90.

 

Put them on for the test and then take them off. They wont last over a year or two.

 

I read on a thread here somewhere that they'd start throwing a CEL code. I found the thread and I didn'tread that they'd start throwing a CEL code

why not just get an o2 sim from urd?
I'm sure it's illegal but if its OBDII then who will know....

 

dont they hook up a machine to the tail pipe?

 

nope just your gas tank cap thats all and OBII if you have a simulator and a cat under the truck (they look under the truck to make sure its there) then your good

 

oh yeah forgot about visuals. you could keep a crappy cat and plug in the o2 simulator its really easy. they only use the sniffer (tailpipe emission thingy) on pre OBDII cars and trucks (believe that was about 1996)
