Been looking at all the suspension threads but it’s a bit overwhelming. I have a 22’ trailer and when loaded up I get a little sag. I also have a blue ox WDH.

I was thinking of Firestone bags and daystar cradles but today I heard of summo springs as a possible simple solution vs dealing with air leaks etc etc

Other than the occasional camping trip, bed stays pretty much empty.

    Your thoughts.

    TIA.

I debated between those two and after weeks of reading reviews I bought the roadmaster active suspension instead. Best of both worlds.

roadmaster seems awfully complicated from pictures I’ve just seen.

Its a lot less complicated than an airbag install, for sure.

Timbren has two different product lines. The SES I linked is for additional load, their other line, the active off road bumpstops are the ones not made for additional load

I just need it to pickup about an inch to inch half of sag when trailering.

Yep. Doing the Sumos. Worst case I’ll throw a set of Roadmasters on there as well.

Let me add another variable into this situation.
There are two different heights of Sumo Springs that fit the 3rd Gen. The 610- series and the 612- series.
The 610- series will allow less squat under equivalent loads than the 612- series. The trade-off is the 610 series will ride firmer as it will touch the frame before the 612 series. I suggest calling them and speak with a live person. You can order direct and the price is same as Amazon. Top notch customer service. www.supersprings.com

FWIW I purchased the 610-40 set as I don't mind a firmer ride. My first truck was a 56 Ford pickup that literally "rode like a truck...". I don't want any squat when my camper shell ever gets here...

I went with Sumos springs 4 years ago, they and not bad, not the best but once there on you don't ever touch them, so that's a plus.

I'd do sumo in your scenario, and if it doesn't work, sell them and pick up airbags.

I personally like sumos for occasional towing, and airbags for more constant load scenarios.
