Chocolate chip cookies don’t do a lot for me. But alcohol, well I can drink it like some people drink punch.

Wife and I did a quick weekend kayaking trip to Warm Springs Bay in Lake Powell.

We had the whole bay to ourselves most of the time. No other campers. A few UTVs and jeepers passed by and a few boats hung out in the bay fishing for a bit. Neat little spot, super quiet this time of year.

OOooh. How is the drive into that area from teh highway? I've seen trucks and campers there during the summer and always wondered what it was like.

It’s fine. Washboard gravel road, to a neat little canyon, to places with deep sand. No real issues, but I suppose you could get yourself stuck if you wander around more.

The lake is down further than I was hoping. It takes a lot of water to bring it up, and I suppose this time of year the melt hasn't really started, but it's amazing how it has dropped. Almost as much as Lake Mead, I think.

It’s gonna take an ice age to get these lakes back to water line.

Drove up to tibble fork reservoir yesterday and there was some dude in an FJ who had pulled off the side of the road and damn near slid off into the water. Had to hook him to a jeep in the front and I hooked my winch to his rear bumper and held tension on him while the jeep pulled him out. Dude was so close to rolling this thing.

Huh, as long as I've been in Utah and I had to google Tibble Fork Reservoir. Never knew it was there.

Yeah. I've watched those water levels for a few years now. 2 years ago, it was high mostly because of the insane snow season we and Colorado had. Then it dropped again last year. :/ I am not hopeful for this next summer. :(

One of the guys at work was telling me that there’s a shit load of dirt roads and trails up there that you can go camp on once all the snow melts.

Yeah, there's a bit. Only problem with AF Canyon is that it can get crowded once summer hits. EVERYONE wants to go there. :/

There is. But like Jin said, god forbid you go to Tibble or Silver Fork on a Saturday

    Outstanding pics.

Mary Ellen Gulch is a good one. We’ve done that trail as a local TW group. We need to do it again. I’ve some it a few times and it hasn’t been crowded.

Isn’t there an Upper Silver Lake too?

I think I remember going up there when we lived in PG, hiking maybe?

Y’all know anyone who powder coats for a good price? If the house passes this bullshit stimulus bill then I’m getting new wheels and want to get them powder coated either a super pearl dark blue, or cherry red.

Yes. There’s the one you can drive to and another that’s about a 2 mile hike from the trailhead. Very pretty
