I wasn’t quoted $500 cheaper for the Legend, personally.

Also, FWIW the dealer I purchased my 100R from said the Legend is exactly the same, but has a lesser warranty.

    Stock for now.. maybe
Youre right,, They are exactly the same except for warranty. Legend gets a 5 year and the others get limited "lifetime" whatever that means. Only other difference is you can't get frameless glass or power locks. Oh and you can't use the the free headliner coupon so I guess I could only save up to 380 or so

How much less were you quoted? Just curious. It seems prices can very quite a bit depending on location and dealer

Yes. Still have and it is holding up great. I love it. However, I broke the rear window(my fault) and replaced it with plexiglass.

One thing I did notice is that when it was installed, they didn'y really line it up as well as they could have. I adjusted it so the rear window closes and locks well(not a big deal but they should have checked that).

So if you have it installed, make sure it is aligned properly and pull on the rear window handles to see if it slips out of the latch. If it does, make them adjust it.

I have downsized from F350's to my "new" Tacoma. I cannot believe how much everything Tacoma costs! With that said, I stopped at the Topper dealer today. Quoted $2745.40 out the door and installed, with a sliding front window and color matched.

I'm getting to be an old fart, and won't be doing the overland thing, but I would like to put a roof rack, and cap rack on to carry longer payloads. To the 100R owners, after a couple years of ownership... would you buy it again? Or would you go a different route? Thanks!

Just a word of warning. My son had the optional rails and crossbars added to his Leer when he ordered it last November. This week we found that water had been leaking into the cap at the bolt locations. Tried sealing them with silicone yesterday. Have to see if that did the job after today’s rain.

I have had mine for 5 years now, and aside from the minute crack I put in a corner from trying to remove it myself, it is in perfect condition. I have not had a rack installed on it though. I think it depends on who does the rack install as to whether or not you'll get a good leak-proof install.

My son’s rack was installed at the factory by Leer. So much for Leer quality.

during Covid era? My Leer was painted back then and it was worthless in terms of colormatch.. required a repaint under warranty.

They didn't use a sealant? Maybe thats why I unconciencely opted for no rails.

There's a guy a few hours away from me in Mass that sells Ranch caps. Never heard of them before but the reviews look decent. $1900 new but they come carpeted, sliding front glass, sliding glass and screened side windows. Thinking of going that route.

He ordered it last October (2023) and it was installed in November. He’s going to take it to the dealer to see what they can do.
