We were supposed to go this winter but because of everywhere closed because of covid we had to put it off. After that, it will be road trip time and we will make it out your way.     Friend at work recently applied for a job down there. AMC has a detachment down there (or is that downunder? :rimshot: ) to support the supply missions to Antarctica. Haven't heard if he got the job yet. Maybe I should try to get that job sometime down the line before I retire the second time. :notsure:

    Australia has always been on my bucket list but Deb didn't really feel the urge to go until we met a couple from Perth. They came up to us for 2019 Christmas and we took them all around and showed them places they wanted to go. Even went dog sledding in Quebec Canada:thumbsup:. Now we just have to wait for things to open up so we can go. Life is good when you are retired:D. Have yourself a great day Sir.

    At one time I thought I was going to have the opportunity to work down there - my last job there was a guy who was starting up the same business in Sydney and modeling it off of the place I worked at here in MT and I wanted to go down and run things in the office while he got started. Figured my only non negotiable terms would be to have a company car (Hilux) and a 4-10 work schedule so I could go out and play. But then the mortgage/housing tanked and that had world wide effects. He had to put the business on hold for a couple of years and ended up starting a much smaller operation.

    Still would love to visit some day

    We have been traveling abroad ever since the kids stopped going with us(ugh do something with the parents) and now as age is rapidly approaching the to old to be dragging a heavy suitcase around the airport stage, Australia is the last bucket list abroad trip. After that, pack the new(ordered in January) Tacoma and bucket list the USofA. Just remember life is to fragile so do what you want, when you can and have no regrets about doing it. Have a good one.
