I have owned my Tacoma for a a little over a year now .I have been seriously considering trading this truck in .
    I don’t know for what yet .
    Things I don’t like .
1.Clunky shifting with manual transmission .
2 . Slow as hell acceleration.. even work trucks pass me .
    3. Whistling noise around 49mph when feathering throttle .
    4. Bouncy suspension on the off road getting worse since I have put more miles on it .
    5. Slight vibration when braking .
    6. Nose dive when braking
    7. Whistling noise from mirrors

Let me know when you find a reliable manual truck that shifts like a miata, rides as well and as quiet as a mercedes, and fast as a vette.

I'll trade in right behind ya

As much of a circle jerk as it is here, you might actually like a ridgeline

Trade it. Tacomas hold their value well, so you shouldn't lose too much. Get something more refined. (Honestly, Ridgeline drives like a SUV and is plenty capable).
I like having new vehicles. Bought 10 over the past 15 years. They all have annoying quirks. I drive Tacoma's for trade value and looks, not comfort or refinement.

What did you drive before this? I drove a Jeep and a Silverado and a Mazda 3. Seems like most of the complaints when you read them really come down to “my body on frame truck drives like a body on frame truck instead of my wrx what gives?”

Doesn't sound like you will be happy with the Taco. For you, I would suggest a TRX or Raptor. Probably get more use out of it in AZ.

Yesterday, I traded my Tacoma for a 2019 Honda Civic Type R. No major issues, just wanted to get back in a more sporty vehicle.

From reading your complaints, it doesn’t seem like you’re interested in a truck because most trucks are slow, make lots of noise and ride rougher than cars/SUVs.

Sounds like irreconcilable differences. Cut ‘er lose and don’t look back. Life’s too short to agonize over trying to make a square peg fit into a round hole.

It's easy to find things you don't like about a vehicle,,,, especially as times goes on. If you can find something that makes you happier, then by all means get it. A truck isn't for everyone.
The Tacoma market is high yeah, but so is the rest of the vehicle market, so you'll pay a higher replacement price too.

Sounds like you want a car. Get one. There is no shame in getting something that make sense for you.

A Tacoma doesn't make you a better person or something magical like that.

If you dump more money into it I’m sure you can solve these issues but then again only do that if you like the truck

I bailed out last week and traded my 2018 TRD OR DCSB for of all things a new 2020 Frontier Pro 4X.

The Tacoma was a huge swing and a miss for me. I don't think the NVH and audio system is where it should be at a truck with this price point.

Sounds like you made up your mind already. Ridgeline's do ride nice. My sister has one and it's impressive around town, in the city.

Wow, if my 2020 tacoma had all those issues i'd get rid of it in a heartbeat. I think just 1 or 2 would annoy me.

If you are not happy with truck and you can afford it, buy what you want but make sure you get what you really want this time. I have a 6 year old 2nd generation SR5 with 2 wheel drive with 4 cylinder 2.7 with 5 speed manual transmission and every time I drive it makes me feel great and would not trade it ever as it is what I want. I have a few extras like a hard cover and bigger fatter rims & tires as the stock ones always looked kinda puny to me and it has wind noise and clunky shifting and not a speed demon but I can except this as it is a truck and realized this when I test drove a similar truck when purchasing. You have top of the line and not happy so I guess everybody has different expectations and if you don't need a truck then get what you want.- My 2 cents worth
