    2005 2.7 manual 4x4. Have brown milky oil .
    Changed oil 2x, same result.
Coolant doesn't appear to be dropping but could be a little.
Truck sat for 6ish months before issue.
Never overheated and driven less than 10 miles since first noted.
Can I get some help troubleshooting?
I assume worst, Crack in head and headgasket, or even block. Would like to rule out anything much more simple and cheaper.
    Thanks

As many as I can fabricate
It's pretty simple actually. There's coolant in the oil. Regardless of the leak location, the top of the motor has to come off anyway. Fix it.

    head or block ??????

    pull plugs

    do compression ....................leak down test

    a rebuild will ‘ fix it ‘

another motor will ‘ fix it ‘

another TACO will ‘ fix it ‘

Yes, I started new thread for issue I am having. Thought it might be appropriate here.
    Fix it, good possibility.
    Pull plugs, plan for weekend.
    Leak test too.
    Rebuild, maybe.
Another engine, maybe. Looked a little.
    Another taco, probably not..
    Thanks , will report back.

I thought the problems with the head gaskets were on 2005 to early 2006's 4.0 l engines and not on his 2.7l engine.

May or may not be useful in your particular situation, but I used Blue Devil head gasket fix years ago on a 4 cylinder S10. It worked and never had an issue for the rest of it's life --- over 100k more miles. Good luck with your fix.

Ok here is where I am at now.
Pulled plugs and inspected. Looked old and white build up on tips.
    Put new oil in.
Purchased the engine combustion leak tester and did test. Tested numerous times over a 60 minute period. Engine ran the entire time. And even drove a few miles. Temp Guage right around halfway mark. NO YELLOW.
Checked oil via dip and drain. OIL LOOKS LIKE OIL.
Tested exhaust with combustion tester and turned yellow, so tester and solution are good?
    Plugs are on order.
Going to replace plugs, drive and check oil often to see.
