Damn I hope not. That'll be a waste of $10. I also picked up a beer yesterday called Lucky Buddha. The bottle is actually shaped like Buddha. It was pretty damn good.

Good bottle for collection. I don't collect but met someone before that collected beer cans, the collection was amazing, so long ago I don't recall exactly who it was or how I knew them.
Sister has a bottle like Crystal Skull...vodka maybe. That's a cool bottle

I've got a bottle of that as well. It is indeed Vodka. Very, very bad Vodka but the bottle is quite cool.

My brother had a beer can collection when he was a kid, I think he had over 300 different kinds. He even had 3 or 4 cone-tops from the 40's.

    Unfortunately :pout:Yes :anonymous:

From what I've heard, the bottle comes out of Italy and the Vodka is distilled in Newfoundland. The majority shareholder/owner of the company is Dan Akroyd.

Trees are ready whenever they’re above freezing so the sap flows. Usually there’s a January thaw with a quick run, which we don’t normally bother with.

We typically tap at the end of January or first week of February if it isn’t unbearably cold, then wait for it to run.
Usually there’s a couple runs in February then most of the sap comes in March with the tail end in April.
Within that time frame it can shift a lot, or all be condensed into a shorter period.

When the sap freezes in the tree, the ice crystals in the cells (counterintuitively) create a vacuum in the tree which pulls water from the roots. When it thaws, there’s actually pressure in the tree pushing the sap out, which contains the sugar stored in the fibers,

A good run will go 1-2 days before it stalls and needs to freeze again. If we don’t get the alternating freeze-thaw cycle, it shuts down until we do.
That’s why “warm days/ cold nights” is the mantra of sugar makers.
We accentuate the process by putting vacuum on the tubing.
The season ends when either it stays warm, the sap starts to get milky, or the sugar content drops to the point that it’s not worth the effort to boil.

I've seen his wine in airports. Never tried it. Must be selling if it's still on the shelves though. I remember it being quite pricey. Any good ?

Grey Goose and there are a few others. The days of Smirnoff being good Vodka is long over.

I'm not much of a wine guy so I haven't tried it but a few friends that are into wine say its good. I stick to beer and scotch.

I was on a vodka kick a few years back and I drank a pile of Grey Goose and Belvedere.
