No. Do the second notch. The springs won't budge with the bumper and it'll ride twice as nice. I'm on the second with a full SSO bumper and it didn't drop at all. It's up 2.25 and rides nice. I couldn't imagine going 3rd.

Stock truck also has a dog awful reverse gear and a driver side needle bearing.

Just because it's factory doesn't mean it's good

Sorry for the many questions, I just want to understand before I go through with it, so I am adding the leaf to level out the truck since the rear doesn’t add any height and if I didn’t the truck would look squatted?

    Uh..... No.

Add a leaf might give you a little bit of extra height in the rear, the idea with leveling is people raising the front more than the rear to get a level stance. Some people do not like the aesthetics of a little bit of rake with the way the truck suspension normally sits. An add a leaf will also give you a little bit more payload capacity.

Edit: No worries about asking questions, it's how we all learn

Alright, so going to get this kit, 1st notch, 3-leaf option (is this considered a leaf pack? Going from Headstrong's website), no UCAs and I want to get an ECGS bushing installed at the same time. So I have some questions...

    1. Can I just google "ECGS bushing for Tacoma" and get what I need? I mean, is there anything more specific?
1.1. Do I need just one of them?
    2. I know this is subjective to the area, but what is a decent range I should be paying to get all this installed + alignment? I'll be buying all the parts so just trying to figure out how much labor should be. I know it's 2021 but when a woman calls/walks into a shop for this kind of thing, not all places are 100% honest and inflate the prices and I don't know enough about this sort of thing to know when someone is trying to do this (this happens all the time when I walk into a BestBuy - I don't know if it's a gender thing or the BestBuy sales people are just that unknowledgeable).

    Solid choices.

I would say 4 hours of labor because that's how long it took me and a buddy and we definitely are not a professional shop. anything longer than that you should start asking questions, maybe call two or three different shops and have them compare.

Here's the bushing. you'll also want to add the axle seal to your cart, they'll have it linked right there on the product page.

You only need one for the driver's side as a passenger side does not have a needle bearing.

    https://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-8536125-toyota-8-clamshell-bushing-eliminates-needle-bearing.html

If the shop you're talking to doesn't know about the needle bearing or talks about not having the tools for it, just leave the shop and go somewhere else.

I bought UCA’s for my kit, and will be installing them at the time of kit. I want the upgraded durability and greasable, with increased adjustability for alignment.

That's the biggest thing with aftermarket UCAs, as you can adjust caster on them. Plus they're designed to handle a little bit more lift than the factory ones.
