That bright blue is still one of the best colors IMO. Such a good looking box.

Come gather around and tell the story of how the Great Blue Chinese Box came to be!

it matches the speedway blue theme of the truck and garage, I dig it.

    Yes it is Huge !!

I just can`t get into the bigger boxes I still like being able to have dedicated Boxes to move instead of walking all over the shop .

    It works for me.

Being a Shadetree mechanic and living in the northeast, being able to work on our Tacoma year round in any weather must be nice.

I guess I’m lucky that I am able to work on mine year round in the temperature controlled shop I work at. If I didn’t it would suck having to do something to it on a day like today where it’s 29 degrees outside right now. I’m just running out of space in my extra deep 2 car garage at home to do anything in. The kids stuff literally takes over the whole house haha.

I plan to leave this one by the 2 post and it will have 90% of my tools in it for what I’ll need. I have the mechanics cart to wheel around if I need to work in a different spot, it will take some getting used to but I was out of space in my gen 1 HF box! Hoping it will fit on the left side of the pic here against the wall without getting too close to the lift.

thanks! Don’t we all, I was telling myself the same thing when I was trying to figure out where to put this box lol!

for sure, otherwise no work would get done in between November and March. I was tired of working outside in the cold and not being able to feel my fingers, when I decided to build this garage :)

Thats why you own one large box and a much smaller roll cart box about 30 inches wide with the tools you use most.

I'm glad it was delivered undamaged. It took me 3 times to get a bottom roller without damage, but it worked out in the end. I have to say Harbor Freight customer service was pleasant to work with.

    Nice garage!

I wonder if there’s something to the size of the box being more or less prone to damage. I’ve seen a fair bit of damage, but they’re always the 56” or smaller boxes.

Maybe how they’re palletized and handled as such is part of the issue.

    Huh....

I ordered the top and bottom 56” last weekend. I’ll definitely check for damage..

Anyone have experience moving these solo? What am I in for?

    Thanks.

They'll load em using a fork lift. I'd suggest getting a trailer to move them to your house, otherwise it will be fun getting down from a pickup box. For solo moving, I'd suggest an engine hoist, jack stands, floor jack, some cribbing, etc. for some strategic weight placements. The HF moving dollies also work well for temporary while you are unpacking.

Thanks! Yes I have ordered things from them in the past with damage and it was also a simple process to get either a discount knocked off, or an exchange performed. Granted it's still frustrating to have to deal with it, but the store made the best of it they could.

The 72" box and top both came on a heavy duty pallet, packaged very well with banding straps on them. Seems to get damaged would take alot of effort, or at least significantly more than if it was packaged crappier. Not super familiar how the smaller boxes get packaged but all I can say is the larger box had quite an addition to the weight because of the packaging!

They come the same way. Just smaller pallet.
