I am trying to find someone with a 5th Gen 4Runner who would be willing to pull their taillight for me, and disconnect the wiring harness that goes to the housing, and I need a few pictures.
    • The opening where the taillight came out of
    • The connector when it is still installed in the taillight
    • The truck-side connector after it has been removed head on so that the plug/pins can be clearly seen
    • The rear of that same plug so that I can see the color(s) of the wires going into it

This might fall on deaf ears, but anyone with a few spare minutes and a camera phone handy could surely help a guy out!

Here's as best as I can get. The upper plugs go to the halogen turn signal bulbs + the LED running/brake lights. The bottom ones are halogen reverse light bulbs.

The reason it might not be as easily viable to tap into the 4Runner taillights is that they are inside the cabin, rather than outside in the bed like the Tacoma. So there may not be an easy hole to get the wiring through without drilling one etc.
