You could unbolt everything you added that didn't replace an oem part (or put the oem part back on), they'd still pay you the value of the truck. But once you get paid off you can't touch it (generally speaking).

Not really sure what your trying to accomplish with your comment, but 1k in lights doesn't compare to half the members on here's setups. 1k max out for mods on any vehicle isn't much so I guess it's a complaint.

Forgot to update after the install of the new headlights! Replaced one of the fog assemblies too, the other one will have to wait for its replacrment to arrive in the mail. Love the look

Honestly mine is alittle overkill. I dunno when I’d use them all but nice to have options. I originally got the monitor, 1 usb charger, and 2 12v plugs but once I got the panel made up it looked empty with just the 4 so I got an extra usb and 12v outlet to fill it up.

the 2 buses are nice though so I can spread out high draw things once I get a fridge this spring.

2.5" OME lift, Fox 2.5 coil overs, all pro expo leafs, ubolt flip kit w/ upgraded bump stops, 1.25" wheel spacers, 16" Bronze KMC Impact OL wheels, 295/75/r16 Nitto grapplers, beige Softopper, Brute force front bumper w/smittybilt winch, RCI rear bumper, caliraised rock sliders, TRD IFS skid plate custom swingout tailgate w/spare tire mount, TC bed stiffeners, Magnum force CAI, KC spotlights, tacomabeast headlights, rear seat molle panel odds and ends, hi lift, MESO interior lights, and a fuck load of patches… more planned for later.
Finally got my caliraised sliders welded on, really happy with with how they turned out. Now have to get some grip tape to wrap around. They're angled 25° so there isn't much ledge to use as a step but a little grip is better than nothing.

I think the catch is major components have to still be present. Extra Lights are easy to take off but you can’t take your suspension and wheels off to give it back to insurance on cinder blocks.

You can put the oem suspension and wheels back on to keep your nice stuff. Easy if you kept your old stuff but most people aren’t trying to shop for parts to swap for an insurance buyout if they sold or trashed the old stuff. They’re trying to get a check so they can get a replacement vehicle.

Replaced the weather-worn handle on my Leer 100XL cap with a brand new OE model. No longer gray & sun-faded, back to black.

SCS BR6 17x8.5 -10mm matte black wheels. Wrapped in General Grabber AT/X 265/70/17 in C load range. Extremely quiet, smooth, and looks are dead sexy. Some minor rubbing and no more front mudflaps but sacrifices I'm willing to make in the name of vanity.

Ya, my suspension wouldn't be worth taking, but my wheels are nice so I'd just buy some OE take offs to take my wheels back, I'd also try and take other stuff, canopy, bed set up, console vault, intake, etc etc. Sliders for sure, but again, can't really forsee how a crash and what would get damaged

yeah most of those are easy. Wheels and suspension are the ones that can be alittle tricky. Time crunch to get a new car can be a big factor too.

Beware of minor rubbing. It can lead to later damage. Ask me how I know?
    :anonymous:

If it’s on flares or the plastic bumper or the wheel well liner, eventually it can pull them off. If it’s the firewall or inner fender it can case damage to your core support. Just keep an eye out...

our trucks/lifts/etc are very different but minor rubbing has caused me a lot of head aches in the long run.

oh I feel ya. *knock on wood* the only thing that’ll make me part ways with my truck is an asshole totaling it on me... even then if possible I’d buy it back to cut the back half off and truggy it or something along those lines. Or LS swap it if the engine blows. Either way I have plans for it to be 100% toy one day.

I’ll get another car one day but the taco isn’t going anywhere.

Oh for sure, I understand completely and thanks for the helpful comments. Only rubbing I have is on the inner fender plastic at full lock in reverse and it's extremely minor, or if I hit a U-turn at full lock at high speed. Going to fix with heat gun + small lift in near future. Flexed all the way and it's such a minor rub I don't think I could hurt it if I tried without going full Dukes Of Hazard and that's definitely not happening. Not my first rodeo with ze automobiles haha!
