So I almost got 17x8 PF01 (red car)

Glad I didn't though. I thought the 17x8 had the lip that the 17x9 has (blue car) but it doesn't.

 

Still torn though. The 17x8 looks fine, lighter, cheaper, and the tire size that goes on the 8 wide is better for street use. And also cheaper.

 

They look good, but what's the "lip" for?
