Good Morning Folks. Got the second Prizer shot yesterday morning and so far no side effects. Even my arm isn't as sore as it was yesterday. hope it continues.

As deep in the rough as he is he probably bogeyed the hole Cheech:rofl:.

Can't like this Mark. Hope and pray it'snothing serious and you are okay.

I use thunderbird. Flag as spam and -> null Everything goes to a spam folder; I'll glance once a week to see anything is of interest.

I keep about a dozen different emails, so often I can see who sold or leaked my information. One used for financial stuff, One for friends, One for stuff (servicing my Toyota, yes I will give you my email), etc. Thunderbird (Mozilla) is the spider who gets the information for me. It just helps keep the clutter and trash way down; often, when you "unsubscribe," they sell your email to 10 other vendors. This way, they never hear from me, and it's all trashed. I don't need some miracle cancer treatment, a prepaid funeral plan, nor a larger penis.

You can't leave us hanging like that.

We had an interesting one; Lady showed up at a neighbors house wanting to be flown to a political event. Well dressed, new expensive vehicle, but something didn't add up. She thought it was 2016—psychotic break. Our neighbor is an excellent doc who spent some time in Desert Storm and realized what was going on. Local PD has a fantastic team for helping in this situation but it took them about six hours to talk her down into letting them talk her for treatment.

The Doc was the one who got our county's massive vaccination site up and running. His vision was to use our local football stadium (big in Texas) and how to have multiple medical personal and fan vehicles out. You never get out of your car, everything is filled out ahead of time, so you show at your time. ID confirmation. Goes like clockwork—10,000 in one shift. Someone joked, it is like a MASH operation, but a great guy who knows how to figure out logistics.

Ok, so here's my story - definitely a 1st World problem but one that could have a huge impact on someone else. I have a Facebook presence. Much of it was driven by maintaining contact with friends and family. Over my 16 years with the college, and especially when I was president, the FB presence was important to maintain visibility with what was going on with the college. Since I retired, page is now really just personal stuff with friends and family.

Yesterday, out of the blue, someone (a female account) posted a statement that I have been trolling singles sites and preying on widows, including her stating that my wife had passed away 5 years ago. This person also stated my son was part of the scam and sent messages to my wife telling her I was exchanging explicit messages with her. I asked for links or copies of messages - nothing provided of course since none of it is true and I eventually made copies of everything, filed a harassment complaint with FB and blocked her account, as did Lynn. Last evening, the person posted her comments to a professional business womens' organization where Lynn is an officer. That, of course, is embarrassing to Lynn. She asked that the organization web master pull the comments.

Thankfully, Lynn knows me after 46+ years of marriage and knows I had nothing to do with this, nor did our son. Actually, she looked at me at one point and said "Hey, wait. Is Tacoma World a singles' site?" :D Neither of us had a great night's sleep, though.

This morning I was looking at the privacy settings on my FB page and realized that the comments were posted in a part of my page that is only accessible by friends - as is all of my page unless I choose to make a comment Public which I sometimes did with things related to the college. So, it is likely that one of my friends was hacked and the hacker was spoofing another account to post the comments.

Frustrating as all hell. I could, of course, leave FB but it is one of the few ways to maintain contact with many friends so I'll hang in there.

    Good morning all,

So sorry to hear about the hack Col, I still have a FB page and like you, although several years ago, a friends page was hacked and the same kind of harassments took place on several of FB pages associated with them. I have since downsized my FB to only family and a few close friends and dropped everyone else (with notice and why) - still does not guarantee it will not happen again. Letting FB know is the first step, hopefully they help find the source and help with the person that was hacked as they may not even know - yet.

Hope today is better - for everyone - stay safe

Can't like that Mark. Hackers can really ruin a persons life. I am glad it wasn't health related for you, Lynn or her Mom. I am not on facebook but Deb is and if you don't mind I will let her read what happened to you. The only forum oriented site I frequent is TW. I hope for your families sake this is the end of the hacker and there is no other repercussions. Be safe and be careful.

    Good morning all.

I feel for you Mark. What is happening to you and your wife is just as bad, if not worse, that identity theft. A triage attack by an anonymous person is a sick thing to do. Good luck finding them and prosecuting them to the fullest extent of the law.

I rarely bother to read or listen to a news story that is from an unidentified source.

Today is an easy day. I have some wood to burn in the fire pit, a pond air pump to rebuild and some pork steaks to cook for dinner. If two LED circular light bulbs arrive today I can replace the bulbs in the laundry room fixture. Wife gets her first C19 shot today.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch folks! Dentist today, pre-op Covid test tomorrow, and another "simple" heart procedure Wednesday. "Just to make sure it's working!"

Geez Mark, that's a Monday story for sure!

    Everyone have a great week!

Good to hear it's not health related Mark, I'm not on FB either and don't have a clue about what to do if hacked.

    So very sorry Sir. :(
I had to drop my FB acct for similar incident involving ex-DIL. I miss my friends from around the world met over 26 yrs active duty.
For me it was a must do as the grandkids must be protected regardless of the personal sacrifice required. The few really close service brothers and sisters I try to e-mail/text/call consistently, but it's not as convenient.
A couple of them I have shared photo albums on the icloud where we post pics and comment to each other. :notsure:

Truly sorry you are a victim of this. It's infuriating.
    Sincerely,
    Rob

Fixing the air pump for the pond was a little harder than I thought. I thought it would be a project level 1 but it turned out to be a project level 3. In all it was 17 machine screws to remove and 2 nuts with 2 washers each. First time I repaired my Laguna model 75 air pump. I replaces all the moving parts, both air intake manifolds and the air filter. The hardest part was installing the 4 screws on the vertical air intake . There are two of these on on each side of the dual coils. There is a horizontal shaft with two magnets that push and pull the air diaphragm. The diaphragm bolts on to the shaft which has to be tightened before you can install the intake manifold. Next to the cast aluminum block there are two aluminum gaskets, on each side, then the diaphragm then the intake housing. to align all four items to the screw hole in the aluminum block i used toothpicks to go through all 4 items and into the screw hole. I then installed the screws one at a time leaving the tooth pics in the hole till i replaced the screw into the hole. The real trick is to install the gaskets correctly so air can pass from the manifold into the air chamber of the aluminum block. First time to do the repair and it only took an hour and a half. Quite an ingenious set up with only 3 moving parts.

Also was able to burn the wood and the pork steaks are in the smoker now. Still waiting for the LED replacement tubes for the cuculine fluorescent tubes in the fixture. Sometimes Amazon sucks.
