Anybody ever seen a tire develop little brown specks like this? Tires are new, less than a month old. Mastercraft Courser CXT. Only one of them has developed these strange spots. I haven’t done anything different to this tire, never use any tire shine or anything, just wipe them with soap when washing the truck. So far I’ve tried Bleche-white with a hard bristle brush and these spots will not come off. Anyone else ever run into this problem with a tire?2C5D0F10-44C1-4678-9DEA-A8ED7AA139CD.jpg1994049B-E63F-47F8-9BED-BC87E4E2F7C8.jpg

Is it on all the tires?

Nope just this one! Almost looks like mold or something but definitely isn’t coming off. Really doesn’t smear either when you scrape it, like if it was tar or other residue. I’m

That's what I thought or maybe ran something over? I don't know though, weird.

Looks like red oxide mud splatter. It will eventually wear off. Had this happen wheelin in PA where there was red clay mud.

I had a set of Goodyear MTR’s turn brown over time. It’s not really that uncommon.

I don’t think it’s bloom as that usually looks more cloudy and not speckled like this is. I think it most likely is from red clay, come to think of it I took it out on a sand road the day I had them put on. It was raining and there are a few clay land bridges out there. I guess I’ll just have to keep them all dirty!

OP write down and keep track of your serial and DOT #s.

There is a big recall on Cooper tires that involves sidewall issues. The Mastercraft Courser is included. Yours might not be involved today but it might be worth keeping an eye on if the recall gets expanded.
