I've been looking into these as well to replace the stock shocks + spacer I have up front on my zone performance 6" lift. I don't think I will have to change out the UCAs since it's a drop bracket lift. I will probably go with the rear adjustable as well since the Vertex coil overs are significantly cheaper than the Kings and Fox 2.5s I've been looking at for the same application. I've seen people running these with no issues on stock UCAs, anyone have any words of caution doing this?

Interested too for my 6" Pro Comp. But not too many reviews, only thing I heard was adjusting them is a hassle and its better to get it done during install.

Sorry if this is an old thread....
I didn't see much on diff drop?? Is there anything more than a 1" diff drop if I got these shocks without a drop bracket kit?? How would adding a 1/4" spacer on a 1" diff drop affect c/v angles?? Would this be a good shock for a true 3" lift??
Mr. Jones, "Help me please!! Help me please"!!! Lol!! Thanks in advance!!!

I was looking for pictures to see if anyone had these adjusted. You are the only one that doesn't have the adjustment seated up against the top. Lowering it raises the truck or lowers?

I just bought mine and i am planning to install them myself. I already do the rear, but trying to get more info on the front before i tackle it.

I am not sure, I had mine professionally installed with the 6 inch lift kit. Sorry I couldn’t help.

Lowering the collar adds preload to the coil thus giving you lift and vice versa

Thanks!! Someone else said it backwards and that confused me. Right now the collar is all the way up as high as it’ll go.

I am amazed by how smooth this suspension rides. I could not find any reviews on these, so I was a little apprehensive to buy these at first. I am so glad I did! Most people say Rough Country lifts ride very rough, but these ride way better than stock. It feels like I am floating on the highway. Currently have the front set at 3 and the rear set at 4. Going to play around with the adjustments more.107504B7-E69C-4CF1-BDF3-4DA0AD0124E7.jpg D02A7DC2-F127-4AC5-BF0D-D647614A8BE9.jpg EE62339C-E33A-47A6-9A7F-C6992175A73C.jpg

Yes, I have blocks in the rear. I’d eventually like to add a leaf.

I just purchased these for the front on mine. I have the V2 monotubes on the rear. I also bought JBA UCA's.

I wonder is roughcountry vertex coilovers are rebranded. Considering the amount of R&D involved in coilovers, I would not be surprised if these are made by a better name company. It is a popular theme in the accessory market to rebrand parts in your name and sell them much cheaper.

Awesome! I kept the stock UCA’s but they work with the DB lift. Would new ones allow more travel?

New upper control arms will help with getting your wheels back into the proper alignment as well move the tire forward slightly (caster). This would improve tire clearance as well as provide a smoother ride.
    • More spring clearance is More suspension travel
    • More Caster added 3 Degrees (more or less)
    • More articulation

Thanks for that info. The front rides very smooth as it is but I would like to have more tire clearance. I’m going to look into some UCA’s. Kind of working backwards since I already have the lift installed. Might have got away without doing the CMC :sawzall:

Just installed this setup this weekend (had someone that knew what they were doing do it lol). They ride extremely well. I have mine set at 3 in the front and 4 in the rear and it feels like a different truck. I’m getting some popping at full lock when turning hard right, I’ve narrowed it down to the lack of steering stops that are causing some rubbing in the coils or the stock UCA hitting the upper strut mount. Still working through it, however, they feel great and once I get all the bugs worked out I will feel much better. Highly recommend the product, I met at least three people that have this setup on a 6”+ lift and they all love it.

Glad to see this thread. I’ve been debating these for a couple months. Soon I’ll be replacing my bilstein 5100 setup with these and adding JBA UCAs. I’m pumped :D

Does anyone know if there’s a big difference between the 3” and 3.5” sizes? I have the 3” lifted struts but have aftermarket UCA, the 3.5” should work right?
