Rear Seat Delete Decks

For those with the Goose Gear delete panels: I was thinking about purchasing just the floor panels, but there might be an issue. As far as mounting or whatever is concerned, would it be possible to trim the driver's side floor panel to fit with the cubby still installed? I have a subwoofer sitting in there and don't want to remove it. Thanks.

 

They have an option for "with subwoofer"

 

Yeah. It's on the passenger side for the OEM subwoofer. Mine is on the driver's side.

 

Then it would depend on the size of your sub, the primary outboard mount is 4.75" from the back wall and the inboard mount is 4" from the back wall. The attach to the same holes in the floor the rear seat mounts to. Between that section you could cut away material if needed.

 

Then sounds like I'm okay. It's the OEM+ sub that nestles into the stock cubby back there. Just have to do a trimming and I'd be set. Thanks.

 

@ExploreBackcountry very nice job, I think yours looks better than the GG product. I’ve been thinking about making a delete for the 60 side of my truck. How did you do the rear mounting points? I haven’t pulled my rear seat yet so I don’t know what it looks like back there and I’m trying to determine what I’ll have to work with. Thanks.

Finally, almost complete. I still need to mount some anchor points or l track, maybe both. But it’s mounted in the truck for now.

I really liked the Goose Gear kit but didn’t like the lead time that came with it, so I pretty much copied the design. It is a one piece platform which is what I wanted.
Fun little project. It was my first experience using Monster Liner
and that stuff is awesome!

This is really incredible work! I’m on the verge of doing the same thing...trying to get my head around some dimensionality issues first. Curious, what’s the depth from front edge to bulkhead of your platform?

 

Well you’re in luck! I still have the template I made and the measurements on some sticky notes. It would be rough enough to get you started. I was getting ready to trash it all.
If anybody is in the Sacramento area you are welcome to the template.

I will post them here then. Stay tuned. It’s nots much LOL. Just scribble on paper. I’m old but it works for me. The trick is laying out the holes and bracing underneath. You wouldn’t think 3/4” ply in this size would deflect but it does.
I’ll get it posted for you all soon, selling a house and in the process of packing and loading shit that I don’t need.
