Happy I was able to oil some tools this morning..Oil change is done for the Emerald Isle excursion next week, but more importantly for my trip in April!
May/May not hit ol’ Texas, but running a fast trip out to Louisiana and camping a slow return trip back! Hoping maybe a camp spot in Talledega and then a couple on the Georgia Traverse. This vacation can’t get here soon enough!

BTW- my pew pew pistola does not like the cheap armscor ammo in 40-even just for plinking. But was able to get a little lead out today as well:D

I’ve been into karting since I was 14 with my Dad, wouldn’t trade it for the world. I enjoy the time at the track with my family as much as I do the racing. My brother in law started coming with and now he races with us too.

Just like @w.adventures said, it can be expensive but no different than any of my other hobbies. Non-travel club racing is pretty reasonable, $2k will get you on the track with pretty good stuff in the back of a pickup

The trick is just to not get into too many expensive hobbies all at once. Pick your poison.

I've told her to stop ordering chicken like that, kind of a waste since she just eats the skin.

    Cars, trucks, guns, mountain biking.

At this point snowboarding is the cheapest hobby I have left.

I’ve been proud of myself for not getting into cars. But guns, trucks, bikes and now boats so that kinda sucks.

Mine too until I got a new job and rewarded myself with two new Jones snowboards for the upcoming Park city trip . Whichever hobby you don’t spoil will get it eventually!

My current setup is a Jones. Definitely badass. I hit 77mph on it a few years ago at Snowshoe, but I’m an old groomer crusher with many bad joints. No park stuff for me. Going to swap to Korua this upcoming season.

Nice man! I replaced an old Ride with a flagship and an Ultra Mountain twin (flagship was used and the deal was too good to pass up for a board that looked brand new). Always wanted the flagship for powder days but the ultra mountain twin is better for what I usually ride.

how was snowshoe this year? I never got up there

In that they have four wheels and an engine yea, but I’m talking about my buddies who run Porches and track cars. Tacos are cheap.

You can have cheap fun in cars too. THSCCC had a rallycross event and we would buy old beaters and run them. I used an 80s LeMans once. I don't know how your buddies run Porches but Porsches are pretty cool. I ran my old VW at track days all over the SE and it was cheap fun. Just don't buy the expensive niche cars with niche aftermarket support and you can have cheap fun. Like SCCA has a miata class.
