This is true. I'd be more concerned about them performing a "detailing" when you take delivery. Usually its just a fresh coat of highly detailed swirls in the paint. haha!

even weirder- how many people before you have farted in your seat.

For sure. Back around Thanksgiving I decided to compromise and told teh dealers I was working with is I would take a Cement with the same packages if it would expand my chances. 4 months later and that didn't work out either. So since I found a dealer willing to order I debated back and forth. Ultimately saw a few AGs on the road and yes, it looks slick. Heppy with my choice, can't wait for it to come in. He said expect 2 months on the low end, in rare case 3.5 to 4 months.

Seeing them out there definitely sells the color. It looks great on all four models.

It will have been worth the wait.

I had no choice but to order my 2020...no dealer had the trim i wanted in the exterior color i wanted. At any rate when i picked it up it only had .6 miles on the odo. This truck was the most confused automatic i ever drove for 1500 miles or so.

I watched my 2016 backed off the transport (funny story, they sold me someone elses special order allegedly, oops) and at pick up it had 9 miles on it. My 2021 was sitting on the lot and had 12 miles on it when I began the test drive. Not entirely sure you could do enough harm in that few miles without obvious repercussions.

357 miles is most likely a test pig so they dont put miles on their other units, usually an undesirable options package or something of the like. Probably cutting the guy a deal due to it being an old age unit. One of the Ford dealers I worked at had an orange gold-ish 2wd F150 XL that we got stuck with on a fleet deal (was supposed to be ordered 4wd and someone checked the wrong box) ended up being a 3 year old truck with just shy of 1000 miles on it before they took a loss and sold it for under invoice just to get it off the lot.

Then again, my dad's 2002 Corvette had 1.8 miles on it when he test drove it and someone had already smoked the clutch. So who knows.

Very possible. Sport, DCSB, AG, 2WD was all I got out of based on the brief time I had on the test drive (I want to say the Sport label on the back of the bed just said "Sport", it did not have 4x4 with it, so I assume it was 2WD?) When I got out of the truck I wanted to check out the sticker, but with the potential buyer there I did not.

Ordered my 2017, dealer stock for my 2020. Both had 4 miles. The 2017 was cool though because they left it in its shipping packaging for me to peel off.

    I put a deposit on mine. You just can't get a 2.7 with a 5 speed anymore.

Nobody test drove mine except me. it had 4 miles on the odo. I did not order it. But, I still had to wait 4 weeks for it to arrive on Island.

I bought my 6MT from the closest dealer with one on the lot. I was the first person to test-drive it, so I bought it.

Ordered. If I'm gonna spend $40k, I'm gonna buy exactly the truck I want... right colors, right options, etc.
And to try to find the right combo with a manual would be tough.

Bought mine last month with 57 miles on it. It was a dealer trade and someone drove it over. I thought similar things as the OP when I saw the mileage. When I got there to test drive it, they had another identical one with 7 miles. I drove them both and chose the "beater" :) for a couple reasons, long story. Didn't really bother me after all.

When I was looking for my 2020, I couldn’t find any with the LED headlights. Turns out Southeast Toyota just wasn’t getting any equipped with those. As soon as I looked elsewhere, I found what I wanted. I had to take a road trip to get it, but I got what I wanted and didn’t have to wait. It had 9 miles on it when I picked it up. We’ve had others that had 200+ miles when we bought them and they were great vehicles.

Bought mine off the lot with 8 miles on it. Pretty sure they were a hard 8 miles I should probably take it back.
