I installed some Clazzio covers a couple months ago in a 2020 DC. All the covers fit excellent with the exception of the drivers seat bottom cover. I have the power seat option and the cover came without the drawstring all the others have. Is this normal? Mine has a piece of foam rod sewn in just tucked in the plastic trim.

It's not terrible but it definitely doesn't look as good as the rest of them. It's just kind of loose and baggy looking. Just wondering if anyone has any tips?

    -Cheers

I think the draw string helps keeps it tight.

I bought the same covers. I removed the seat bolts so I could access the strings better and get some more purchase power. You are correct the non-power seat has more cross cab adjustment. After a month of using the seat covers, I removed the seat bolts again and re-tightened the covers. The Clazzio covers fit very nicely and are easy to clean.

Sailorboy, do you have a power seat? Did your drivers side seat cover have a drawstring? Mine doesn't and that seems to be why it doesn't fit as well as the others.

I do have the power seat and i went out to check. It looks like there are two straps that tighten the seat fore and aft, nothing to tighten it across the cab. Removing the seat bolts allowed me a lot better access to the straps to really snug them down. I used a the plastic tool that came with the covers to tuck in the sides. As mentioned before I re-tightened the straps after a few weeks of driving and that helped. The cover was migrating slightly from getting in and out of the cab. Looking at the cover now, I may have to do a slight tuck on the left side of the drivers seat cover again. I'm impressed how well these covers fit and they are easy to clean.

Thanks Sailorboy, just making sure I wasn't missing anything. I'll pull the truck in the garage over the holidays and see if I can adjust the cover a bit.

Installed these Clazzio Seat Covers yesterday and I am having the same issue with the drivers side. The fit is just not tight enough without the strings. Have you figured out a fix? Thanks

I am trying to decide between the Clazzios and the Wet Okole's. I go fishing a lot and will sometimes get in the truck in wet waders to drive to the next spot. I also live by the ocean and have kids who may be jumping in and out in wet shorts. So as much as I like the look of the Clazzios, I am wondering if the Wet Okole's will be better suited for what I need. Anyone have Clazzios and sit on them in wet shorts/waders?

Doestn sound like a good idea sitting in your car in wet shorts etc regardless of the material

I know this is an older thread, but I wanted to post what I found regarding the driver power seat and Clazzios. My Clazzios arrived Thur. and the driver seat bottom did not have a draw string like the passenger side. There is a tube for the string, but no draw string on the driver side like others reported. I did find a way to make the driver seat look pretty good by removing the trim to tuck the fabric in tight on the sides.

I removed the seat entirely, which helps to turn it over to get to the screws. you have to unplug the three connectors on the bottom of the seat, and the yellow one is for the seat airbag, so be careful and it is suggested to disconnect your battery cables first.

Removal of the driver seat trim helped me get the bottom tight and smooth. It is not too difficult and you only need a Philips head screwdriver to remove a couple of screws. here are some pictures after completion to show how I got it smooth and tight.

the front trim piece (middle picture above) is removed by two screws indicated in the next pictures and it clips into the side with clips as shown in the following picture. turning the seat upside down allows you to see the screw locations rather easily.

front trim screw 1.jpg front trim screw 2.jpg front trim removed.jpg 1st Screw Driver Seat.jpg

Then you remove the power seat controls by just pulling them off, straight pull, and then removing two screws and the trim piece on the outside of the driver seat can be removed. This will let you tuck the material in nice and tight without the drawstring.

The last thing to do is to affix the weird bungee thing on the seat belt side. I am unclear if I did it correctly, but it worked and keeps the seat belt side of the bottom tight. I thread that through and tied it off on a seat spring
    weird bungee connected.jpg

then put the trim back on and reinstall the seat and reconnect your battery! I did check and there was no interference on the operation of the power seat controls for me, but you should check to make sure.

Hope that was helpful for anyone with a power driver seat!

This is the same way I did it tonight. They look good so far, but I haven't had a chance to use them yet.

I got mine to fit without having to remove the plastic trim around the seat, I just pry a the plastic trim and worked the foam inside inch by inch. Just take your time and stretch the back part of the seat and hook it under the seat as tight as you can.
