Oh there will be some mods all right
Well, every time I get winter tires I try new ones. I've had cooper evolutions, cooper m+s, blizzaks, Toyo observes, and firestone winterforces. Not sure which ones to try this time. Maybe some goodyears

If its gets your seal of approval I definitely want to check it out!

Maybe this park could be an alternate meeting spot for the occasional BS session. I want to check out Sloppy Joe's as well.

Does Yokohama make a winter truck tire? I had Geolander AT's on my previous 4runner and they were great in snow. In fact, it swayed me towards the Geolander MT's (obviously for different reasons) just remembering how good those tires were. I imagine a dedicated winter from them would be good.

Of course, Hakkapeliittas are always a great bet.

They are awesome on our TC. I would buy another set without hesitation.

Just the thought of a Toyota 4×4 with Hakkapeliittas is awesome! You're going to love them!

    Yes, you will!

If I ever pick up a set for the 4runner, I'll come up north for some snow-wheeling!

Meh. Not sure what happened to Goodyear these past few years, but a good tire, they do not make.

Yeah, those look like a good call around tire. It's one I would consider to replace the Toyos for fall/winter/spring duty. But, they're not a winter tire like the Hakkapeliittas. I just think a 4runner, Tacoma, or Tundra on real winter tires would be fun in the snow.

3PMSF tires are not the same as winter tires, though. There are tons of AT's with the snowflake. None of them will be anywhere near a good as a true winter tire in snow.

I had 3PMSF Yokohama AT's that were awesome in the snow. But, not compared to the Hakkapeliittas on our TC. It's not even comparable. I have always bought 3PMSF tires since I knew it was a thing. I haven't felt the need for snow tires on any of my trucks. But, it would be fun! And, I would have some if I lived where they don't plow.
