Transmission Fluid change?

    Okay, so i went and bought some fluid and im wondering how much to put in? ive seen some 3, 3.5 and 4 quarts. not too sure.

    Ive seen differing amounts as well. Going off of what everyone on here says for a drain and refill, it should be around 3.5-4qts like you said. If you go by the factory service manual it says 2.1 for a drain and refill, but i have a hard time believing that since there's 13 total.

    To be on the safe side, i would drain the fluid, measure it and then pour the same amount back in.

    Update: I drained about 3.75 quarts and replaced it with the same. Took her for a test drive and seems a lot smoother than before. Thank you!

    That's about right for the 4-speed automatic A340/E drain & fill. Let it drip a little longer and you will get 4 quarts even. Great to hear the successful result. Yes mine also shifted much smoother after the last drain & fill. The drain plug torque is very light, be careful there. New crush washers are very cheap.
