Thanks for the advice. The truck is a total, the differential hit from the left side hard enough to break the wheel and damage the spring perches on both sides. So yeah, until I get the truck physically put back together in a drivable condition I'll be shooting in the dark.

Would anything potentially be damaged by trying a reset? Everything appears whole except for the emergency brake cable to the left side.

Yeah, you are gonna need more than a reset I think. The Driver Rear sensor is used for the speedo as well. Each one of those sensors goes for about $200 plus at the dealer. You can also google how to manually check the codes by shorting out pins in your OBD plug then counting the number of blinks on the ABS light. This will tell you where your problem is coming from at least. You can check wire continuity at each of the corners just using a multimeter to make sure your wiring harness is good.

Well, speedo works... but not sure it is accurate yet.

"Each one of those sensors"? How many sensors are involved? I thought it was just a speed sensor.

you have a speed sensor at each wheel, they serve multiple functions to include vehicle stability, ABS, electronic limited slip differential, speedometer sensors and probably others I am leaving out. They are Hall effect sensors reading an integrated ring (not a tone ring) inside your bearing that allows the computer to tell if the wheel is rolling forward or backward and at what speed. This is why when you get these faults you lose multiple functions within your truck. Give the manual reset a try, but I google the code light flash. It may be something as simple as a pinched wire.

I’d say still your best bet @Travlr is to find somebody with access to tech stream who can read your codes

All good information. So multiple sensors are describing the four speed sensors, one at each wheel...

And since I replaced the left axle, including the wheel speed sensor and bearing, that is probably why the speedo works... and that means the wire must be good, I'm thinking. Perhaps a reset is all it needs at this point. I guess I'll find out soon, probably tomorrow.

Well that will get done, but it will have to wait until I can drive the truck to where the code reader is.

My wife brought one of those home last night

I’ve bought the smaller ones from chick fil a but didn’t know the big ones existed. They need to release the Buffalo sauce in the jumbo. I’d drink it with a straw
