Just picked up my NC Tacoma... Are there any places to go 4x4 in the Elizabeth City area?

    Had a 2002 DC, now a 2004 DC.
Checking in from Hendersonville, NC. Got a new to me 2004 double cab. Ever since I sold my 2002 Double Cab, I have regretted it. Excited to back into a Tacoma.

We use it sooo often we have now just say "BC" for before coffee. Excuses a lot of errors.

what's funny is that for the longest time, I made more mistakes if I drank coffee. So I guess BC works both ways. Before Coffee and Because Coffee.

I was up there a lot last year flipping a house. Love AVL, not as big of a fan of the people though.

They should rename I-40 around Asheville the "Overland Tacoma Highway"....I don't think I've ever driven that stretch and not seen a modded Tacoma.

Brevard is a pretty cool small town these days. Kind of reminds me of what Asheville used to be like years and years ago, just smaller and quieter.

I like Brevard. Food is always good but possibly because I only eat there after spending 8-10 hours mountain biking in Pisgah. Leftover turd sandwich would be good after that.

Brevard is usually one of our stops on the way in or out of Pisgah, but now it seems like forever since we've been up there.

Asheville is garbage. Through and through (people, tourists, traffic, overpriced restaurants, etc). I live a little south (Arden). Brevard is nice, but do NOT eat at the Square Root. Whatever you do....please don't eat there.

Been living around the area for 29 years now. Drive through Asheville daily for work. Not always in the Taco but still appreciate seeing them on the road.

I have family in the town of Black Mountain and visit frequently. It's about ten miles east of Asheville. Friendlier people, less traffic and much nicer than the party/college town Asheville has become. We like to visit all the smaller cities and towns in the area and find nice places to eat. Asheville (especially downtown) is just way too crowded and congested.
