    2021 Tacoma SR-5 Access Cab V-6
    I am a long time Toyota truck guy going back to my first Hi-Lux in 1984. Then Tacoma, Tundra (lasted 18 years). 2 years ago I did a test ownership of a 2018 Colorado, Will not go there again. Just got my new 2021 Tacoma SR-5 Access Cab 3.5 4X4. and I'm looking forward to doing all the Mods. to make it truly mine. Need side steps/rock sliders, brush grill, rear bumper step, some no-slide spray for the bed and something to spray on the frame (now that it's new) to prevent rust. I'm sure you guys can point me in the right direction...

    welcome!...just got my 2021 SR5 DCLB, so I am also in the world of personalizing and getting it ready for action! My first Taco though...I hope I get at leat 18 years out of it!!

    also looking for tips about protectant for rust....

    Welcome. There are threads on rust prevention here just search and you can find discussions about that.

    Most people here like Fluid Film, Wool wax, Cosmoline or going to Krown to have to done.

    Well read up on it and decide what product you want to use. They all will stay on the truck but FF, WW and Krown rust prevention can be washed off with high pressure. Those most people do in fall before winter and salt go down. They usually get reapplied or touched up every year.
    I did Fluid Film in September to mine and it's somewhat washed off in the the wheel wells now. Of course winter is about over in Southern Pennsylvania so it's not a big deal for me.
