I used to do Auto-X in my s2k...some people have A LOT of money into cars that they parking lot race. It was insane.

I’m lucky enough to be poor otherwise I’d have a high end car that I tracked.

When we move I might get another a Miata and prep it for HPDE weekends.

I would love a spec Miata to play around with. Always on the lookout, my gosh how they have gone up in price.

I think them along with some of the other cars of that era the ones that are left are mostly owned by enthusiasts and well you know the drill never let anything go cheap.

Since I’ve got to get a car seat in their soon, I need to modify my flat platform in the back that I made for my dogs. Might but it down but might just make a new platform for the 60 part. Anyone know what material Goose Gear uses? I should be able to DIY something for far less than $500. I don’t need the cubbies and all that, just something flat that’s comfortable for dogs.

I didn't ride at all this year. Have had terrible Achilles Tendonitis that I need to have surgery on. Going stem cell route. I can basically walk and ride a bike for now.

An injury of the Achilles tendon, which connects the calf muscle to the heel bone.
It's common in runners and middle-aged people who play sports only on the weekends.

Sorry. Seriously though, is the tendon itself actually damaged or is it a muscular thing that is pulling on the tendon causing pain? I had terrible plantar fasciitis that I was able to cure with (several years worth of ) stretching and dry needling.

That is a damn accurate description. Problem is probably I'm in IT, but I'm active. I sit down most of the day, and then once I'm off I run around like a maniac.

I've had 3 ACL reconstructions and one shattered ankle (bad snowboarding crash where I ruptured my spleen too) on that right leg of mine. Due to all the trama, change of movement, etc it's not really a surprise I have foot/ankle problems.

It actually did start out as Plantar Fascia issues, and then slowly morphed into my achilles/calf.

Right now I have bone spurs growing into the Achilles which is causing micro tearing and degradation of the tendon(visible via ultra sound).

Stem cell process is to ultra sonic blast the bone spurs away, which also "roto tills" the damaged soft tissue away. A week later inject stem cells (my own) into my achilles as well as the plantar fascia area.

2-3 weeks in a boot, 6-8 weeks total for recovery including boot time but should be able to run again after. I'm not a runner FYI, but I enjoy doing mud runs, savage races, spartan races, etc. Mainly I'd like to be able to walk without feeling like my achilles is doing to snap and rocket up my leg.

Let me know the next mud run you do. I'll join you. I've done a couple Spartans and a bunch of 1/2 Marathons. I'm not fast, just persistent.

I have a savage race coming up in May. But at this point I'll probably have to walk UGHHHHHHHHHHH.

But yes for sure. They are fun. Except for the Spartan I did at a ski resort, people were puking left and right a mile into it. haha

I usually limit myself to the "Beer Drinking and Chicken Wing Eating" portion of the Spartan Race...

Here it is. Approximately 1.5 inches of lift in the front and it’s about level with the rear. Rides a lot better too

The total was $1650 (parts and labor)
