    Hey group!

I love my Seicane but it doesn't have a CD player. I for sure need to hear Beauty and the Beast read-along for my daughter's on every trip. Ha!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a USB CD player? I'm also open to a USB DVD player that doesn't require external power. Thanks!

It has AUX in, so just get an RCA-3.5mm cord and plug it into a plain old portable CD player that runs on AA batteries. Total cost: $20

That's a really good idea! I am curious though if anyone found a good USB CD/DVD player.

The biggest thing will be finding one that it actually supports. I’ve seen some USB CD players that tricked the radio into thinking it was a flash drive plugged in. Most USB disc drives require some form of driver or software to be installed so it could be tricky to track one down that works natively

You could rip your CDs and use a USB stick? Kinda free.

If you own a computer with a disc drive then sure lol. I personally don’t have anything in my house with a disc drive in it, so I’d have to buy an external disc drive, which would cost me more than the cheapo CD player. (Fortunately I don’t use discs so this is just me playing devils advocate as usual)

External drives are $20, you bust it out when you rip stuff and then you don’t have to worry about skipping or having gross cables in your vehicle. You also instantly get your entire CD library.

All you need is an old windows PC because Media Player can handle all of the files. iTunes handles file conversions, and you can even add everything to your library.

This gives you access to your entire library, in almost any format you want, album art, play lists, and the cost is $20 and some of your time. No idea why someone wouldn’t want this. It’s extremely convenient.

This is all very helpful. Thanks guys! Is ripping DVDs easy nowadays? I'm 37 (or 38, I don't remember) and the last thing I did was rip skating videos to AVS files. Ha.

Can I download pretty much anything?

It'd be great to have all their movies in one place but I just figured they'd be protected.

I do have a VLC player download to my Seicane.
