That is fine. the TSB update likely cleared the DTCs. The important resets are the Engine & Transmission.

So should I have a rough idle after the first 5 minutes?

No. Honestly, the rough idle for me was about 15-30 seconds maybe? They suggest letting it idle for 5 to 10 minutes so the computer learns what idle conditions are supposed to be.

Well I was successful updating to the 04B33 and I think after 2 attempts to be safe on the resets I’m done. What was the most noticeable difference for you after driving? If you don’t mind me asking. I definitely think I did the LV and AT resets correctly but never really got a rough idle and waited a good 5 minutes both times. Then this last time i gave it a good drive.

It is pretty obvious the way the original version shifted. It was constantly hunting for gears, upshift/downshift even at times when it didnt seem to need to shift, and somewhat sluggish and clunky when trying to pass on the highway for example. This is greatly reduced in the 04B33 update, but not completely gone. If you have had your truck for a while, you should notice a difference the more you drive it as it settles in.

Yea I’ve had mine for almost 2 years. I tried a catback and CAI which actually seemed to make it worse. I was always looking for more low end torque which of course I made the mistake of putting 3” cats on and killed the scavenging. Even the $400 airaid CAI didn’t do a whole lot. In the end I went back to stock and put a high flow AFE dry filter in and put the trd flow accelerator on my stock air intake. That actually seemed to do the best. I guess once I start messing with my tune pack I might get more low end. I really want to thank you for helping a perfect stranger who was a complete beginner with techstream and ecu flashing.

I shouldn’t be expecting major low end improvement right?

So I successfully updated to 04B33. I rest set the learning values and AT but it Said DTC incomplete for that. Is that normal. And afterwards I never really experienced a rough idle.

after you reset the dtc, you need to turn the truck off, and back on (not started), then reset the AT-LV. Ski

    Excellent. Incomplete DTC is odd.

Sorry, but you do not. I've done all three in succession more times than I can count.

You won't necessarily experience a rough idle. If you don't have A/C on, you will here the idle change a bit over the 5min and then stabilize.

Yep. Just do all three Resets in succession to get a clean slate.

I guess it won’t hurt anything to just go in and redo it so do I have to do the DTC’s first Then shut off and turn back on the engine and do the other two or does it matter I’m confused on that one

You should be fine. I would just let it settle and evaluate the new tune.

you can do it but, if you are not paying attention, the message can say unsuccessful, and you may not even know it. there is no HUGE warning sign saying unsuccessful, just a small normal message at the bottom. when I cannot clear in succession, I cycle the ignition, and then reset the LV's, and it usually will accept the command. personally, I stopped resetting the values. the time it takes to relearn, the wonky driving, shifting etc... is just an unneeded, and unwarranted nuisance. your results may vary. Yes. Reading the prompts is certainly key.

I like the apples to apples comparison when flashing tunes or give a person that I am flashing the full effect of the change. So, that is why I do it, esp after my experience the first time that I did the Resets. Completely changed the tune experience on my Taco.

But, I do understand that other folks don't and that is just fine.
