Good Evening, PNW homies...

Just wanted to share my solidly positive experience with the tune session down here in Southern Oregon a couple of weeks ago, which as some will recall was organized by "PNWTacoma", and flashed by Cole [edit: "Cemented"] whose user name escapes me at the moment, so my apologies. Anyway... great, efficiently executed tune session, so thanks again.

Special mention to PapaRee for the custom tune... I'm about 2 weeks, 3rd tank in now, and it keeps getting better. That seems weird, but I'll take it.

PapaRee set me up with what I needed for my gearing (stock) and tire size (285). I've seen the expected benefits... mpg's jumped up... 2mpg's for sure, current tank is showing 15.2 for the tank... and I was hovering around 12 mpg before the flash. I was avg 16+ on the highway over the weekend.

Drive experience? Solidly improved, not overwhelming in the least in terms of acceleration, absolutely better, but you don't have to worry about blasting through the back of the garage due to a hair-trigger gas pedal or anything like that. It's just better... I feel like the truck matches my intention now... hard to explain, but it will do what you tell it to do with the pedal. It is awesome to see how the PapaRee tune drops the rpm's when you get up to speed. I love that... I know Im not good with anything that could convey the technical process here... I'm not in the least a gearing or transmission specialist. I just got hooked up by the mad genius PapaRee and the homies from Portland swung through the Rogue Valley to hook it up with the flash...

so, in short -- Recommended. If this service passes through your area, you might want to avail of the improvement.

Hey Everyone,

Wanted to leave a review on John (boltripper) after my experience with him tuning my truck. I want to first say that I was very hesitant to let a complete stranger change the factory setting on my truck. However, from the first conversation with John I could tell that he knew what he was doing and was thorough. He explained everything up front with me, told me how the process would go, and how much it would cost. Once He got the info from me, He sent a detailed email with all the information and asked me to double check to make sure it was what I wanted. Upon arrival I could tell I was in good hands. He updated me to the latest TSB from Toyota as well as installed the tune. He had checklists for every step to ensure He was doing it the same way every time. After the TSB and Tune we then went for a test drive and He checked all parameters on my truck during the tune to make sure it was running properly. Everything went great and I am extremely happy with the Kruiser 4.0 Tune. You can tell that John knows what he is doing and isn’t just some guy throwing random tunes at your truck. I definitely give the whole encounter a 5-star review. If you are in Alabama or around the area, He is the guy I would use.

I have the tuner cable, software, and 3.5L tune pack. Do I need anything else to tune other people's taco's?

You'll need more tune packs unless you're only going to do one ECU version exclusively.

I also sell tune packs to people at $180ea, discount available if buying multiple at once.
