    Another good point.
Not only, even if the latches were flush, to slide things across/in, would the panel/structure "support" itself from bowing in?

I think the video of them rolling a vehicle over that somewhat proves your point. It does bow in, but it does seem to spring back a little bit.

I don't think there's a hinge on the panel when he drives over it. It looks to be one panel unless I'm seeing it wrong. It could be because I'm on mobile.

Oh, you're right, it doesn't look like it has a hinge, but maybe its on the inside? I have no idea.

I think that would mean it would open the other direction lol. But you're right. We don't really know how they "tested" that

Next up: a burly skeleton frame that has cutouts and attachment points for traction boards. Why bolt them on the side of your truck when they can “be” the tailgate? You heard it here first.

I had a steel reinforced panel for a while, and just that amount of weight totally overwhelmed the tailgate damper and caused the tailgate to slam down. It was surprisingly heavy and annoying to close too. Seems like a lot of effort and weight for not much additional storage.

Mobtown made an Aluminum one and it works awesome, but they stopped making it. Wanted to get another one for a buddy.

Pretty neat. Gotta ride with what the others are saying though. Not water tight and not enough storage for $350. I'd maybe pay $150 w/ those conditions. I do like the concept though

I got one of the first pre orders and I absolutely love it. I put all my recovery and air up/down gear back there and it frees up a lot of interior storage. My only complaint is it makes the already heavy tail gate even heavier and the damped opening doesn't do much anymore. I don't know if anyone knows of any dampers that can be added to the sides of the tail gate to help bring it down.
