I don't leave Salinas until Oct/Nov?

 

Well it's still a good sign even if it's too soon, can always hit them up again when you are ready to move and they may still need someone. I'm guessing it would be too much to commute there until then? Be a lot of driving that's for sure

2.5 hour drive each way M-F (I'm guessing)...no thank you lol. I would be so miserable if I had to do that no matter how much they paid me

 

Feel bad for my dad looking back, for years when we lived outside of LA growing up he would commute into downtown and back and spend almost 4 hours a day driving. No wonder all he wanted to do when he got home was get drunk and watch TV lol.

 

Doesn't his girls family live up there?

I did that for awhile after college, had to move back home for a bit but my job was still in Pasadena about an hour away. Ended up living with my girlfriend's parents in their back room during the week, and the place I worked at was owned by my girlfriend's mom. Kind of a weird situation now that I think about it.

To make it weirder, she and I had a rough breakup during that time after she cheated, and I still lived at her parent's place for awhile. Which resulted in me and my ex continuing to have angry break up sex over a 3 or so month period. Coincidentally, it was probably some of the best of my life haha.
