Canik TP9SF Elite update. Applied talon rubber grips tonight. I’m prone to sweaty and clamy hands especially in the summer. Excited to see how these hold up throughout the years.
Already feels a lot better to the grip.
If I have one semi-con on this TP9SF Elite, it’s that I wish it came with a more aggressive grip. I’m a fan of the M&P 2.0 grips as a comparison.

This may have solved that Knick-pick.

It was paperwork just for individual. All I had to do was pay the $200 stamp and paperwork fees. No trust. It’ll never be anywhere without me there shooting as well anyway.

I've got one in NFA jail on trusted paperwork, so I'm always on the lookout for fresh data. Totally get the in person possession part. I'm on a trust with a few other former/active .gov folks for practicality for when someone has to PCS to a restricted state like CA or NY.

CTD has been completely off my radar since they started charging $100+ for a box of 9mm back in 2011ish and this is even more of a reason to never even check out their site.

 

Dont have any pictures right now, but in the last week I grabbed a G48 some 9mm and 5.56 and grabbed a Surefire RC2 that'll hopefully be back to me by Christmas.

 

Mine was right after the Sandy Hook shooting (were ordered right before the shooting) where I had 10 P-Mags ordered at $11 each they canceled the order then were charging $60 each…

 

That seems like an awful long time for the background check.
We have been getting approvals back in 6 months regularly.
When they first moved the office from Atlanta to Portland, we got a bunch back in 5 weeks.
Older ones were going on over a year and new ones coming right back. Govt. go figure

 

Gotcha, I honestly don't know how they are still around with their reputation inside the community of cashing in every time supply gets short.

I say the same thing about EOtech. Nobody really cares about that fiasco anymore either.

I agree I was hoping to have it around Christmas. NFA tracker is all over the place right now some fast some pushing a year. My last 2 4473 were delayed by about 20-30 min before approved too

 

I get to go deer hunting this fall! Shouldn’t need 40 rounds but need to check the scope and if I decide to upgrade the optics...
