Hey everyone, new to TW. I ordered my first Tacoma a few weeks ago and I'm eagerly waiting for it to arrive. It's a 2021 Cement Tacoma TRD Sport - I opted for the Sport because I won't really be doing much off roading, besides the occasional camping trip and a few future trips out west.

I also got the TRD-Premium package, the technology package, tonneau cover and all weather mats/door sill protectors.

Of course, since I've ordered it, I've spent hours on this forum trying to find what mods I should do first. My plan in no specific order is as follows:

    Paint correction and ceramic coating
    Dealer installed lift kit
TRD Pro wheels and slightly larger than stock tires
Audio upgrades - keeping the stock head unit and changing out the speakers
    Window tints
Painting the fender flares black like they are on the off road

All said and done, I probably could've ordered a Pro for the same price, but you live and you learn.

Does this sound like a pretty standard/good plan? Really looking forward to getting into this truck and posting some pictures of it from stock to modified.

Welcome! The upgrades sound good. The first thing I did was get a bed mat and the front windows tinted. Have you given any thought to a ball and hitch? I don't tow, but put one on anyways. It's for the guy that rear ends me.

I did think of that, I plan to get a landscape trailer for some tasks around the yard but that is definitely good for rear end protection as well :D

Welcome to the forum. For a new truck, I don't think you would need a paint correction. More like surface prep, then ceramic coating. Paint correction is to fix scratches and swirl marks, which I would think a brand new truck would not have.

You're probably right, but I won't be able to get it to the shop right away. Hopefully it won't need too much attention before the coating.
