I “ordered” a LR pro last month and the dealer told me to expect a 4-8 month wait for my turn to get the allocation. (Apparently there are a few people in line in front of me to get one at MSRP from Longo near LA.)

    This wait is killing me.

Keep the pics coming so I can live vicariously through you until I get my truck.

Haha Same! This is all I do with my time; scroll through pictures and look up videos to get me by. I put a deposit on my LR Pro in mid Feb. Dealer said its being built on 3-15 and should arrive near mid- April!

The installer sealed the front corners of the bed with some sort of clear silicone before dropping the cap on. After our Moab trip, there was a small amount of dust in the bed, so I put some foam stuff on the sides of the tailgate. I'll wait until another trip before doing anything else.

Yeah, imagine my anxiety. I ordered before a Lunar Rock Tacoma even existed in real life. All I had was computer renderings. Now at least there are a handful of videos, even those incredibly lame TFL videos, to get a better idea about how the color would actually look. :)

    I know what you mean.
My neighbor has a LR Rav-4 that I drive out of my way to stare at every time they’re home.

This may be a stretch - but is anyone aware of pictures posted (or have done it theirself)of painted interior bezels *with lunar rock* paint match (bonus if they did red meso customs red vent rings). I have seen the other painted bezel threads - but I haven’t seen this (hence posting in this thread).
Just trying to figure out how it would look.

Here's a little snippet I've just received from another dealership near me regarding Lunar Rock manual trucks:

"Having spoken with our inventory manager he believes it is unlikely that you will get that vehicle as Toyota has put a stop order on this vehicle due to demand vs supply available."

I've heard so many different things about how Toyota makes these trucks, can anybody add any more info supporting or refuting what I've just learned?

I have no first hand knowledge, but it sounds consistent with my understanding of Toyota's "Ordering" process. Which isn't ordering so much as allocation. They allocated builds based on whatever criteria they deem most appropriate. Big dealers in certain regions get more Pro's.

There has also been a fair bit of talk on the internets that 2021 is the last year of the MT. My uncle who works at Toyota inferred this last summer.

So one could assume/imply that once they run out of stock of manual transmissions, that's the end of it.

That's how I was interpreting it was well. Bollocks.

The Lunar Rock (space)ship has sailed then. FML.

They say black is the new Lunar Rock anyway.

You could always try reaching out to other dealers. Some may already been allocated but not sold. You never know. But I'd imagine moving sooner than later would be in your best interest. Early birds and worms and all of that. It's a lot of money to spend, so why not try to get the one you most want?

I've reached out to ~10 dealers in my half of the country and the only one that has this truck allocated is 13.5 hours away from me and won't do a dealer-trade for it.

A wee bit north and east of you in Southeastern Alberta, Canada...the forgotten corner.

lol, that'll be a hard sell to the family. The dealership in question is supposedly getting it in mid-April so I can't even call it a bike trip.

Durango Toyota in Durango Colorado has a LR in stock right now that they would probably let go for $48,750. Talk to Jimmy, but it will likely go fast.

Ordered my Lunar Rock M/T end of December. Just got notified it should be built beginning of May. The wait is killing me, but will be worth it!

Going by build timing discussed with dealers earlier in the year (6-8 months out on 'Order') - I would think that the LR stock might be all done for '21 as this timing would bump-up to 2022 model year start of production.

I suspect (without real data / due to know production issues) that the PRO production may be shy of the 5,000 per model year normally planned...

It also seems that 90%+ of '21 PROs were MGM or Black!

For thise on the hunt; A quick search shows a LR Manual listed by C&C Dodge RAM Toyota in OH for MSRP... and a couple others (which may be phantoms). I see that Lunar Rock still translates to "BROWN" in most car sites...

I'm hoping some more still miraculously appear. I'm still waiting for my dealer to snag one.

I know more are scheduled to arrive in Canada in the next two months.
