Received a cv axle, is this considered “good working condition”? Not familiar with CVs, don’t know if this type of wear is normal.

 

Evening Bama! Gonna take the ARs out and stretch their legs out to 400 yards this weekend.

Yea I started to just use a drill point screw and screw um in the side of the frame like I did my front but this works for now, I bent the mount around kinda worried about it breaking but time will tell.

Nah that clamp/boot looks fooked, how much were those from lkq? Are they oem axles?

 

What did the listing look like? That looks like shit

This one was $100, 2011 with 72K oem.

It was a stock photo but their policy says “All of the parts we sell are guaranteed to be in good working condition unless otherwise noted” and nothing extra was noted. I’ve gotta raise hell about the empty box they sent me yesterday, , so may as raise hell about this one too if it’s justified lol

 

The boot is pulled off the outer joint and looks like it has a tear. The seal on the end of the axle also looks like it got beat up. It isn't the end of the world you can get a new seal, boot, and clamps (don't use worm clamps.) and fix them up. I would get good pics of the damages and send them to them and see if they'll give some of your money back or just send you a better conditioned one. Remember you're dealing with a salvage yard they just chuck shit every where and don't really pay much attention to that kind of thing.
