Bought a Chinese Mini VCI adapter and software off Amazon. I got the drivers installed on Win10, and I can connect to vehicle through TechStream, run dianostics, etc. However, I can't seem to get past the first Customize Vehicle screen. When I click on "Warnings", "Wireless Door Locks", etc., and then click the green arrow, a popup comes up indicating it is doing something, but then the next screen never shows up. It appears I can connect to all the other system setting screens, it's just the customize screen that doesn't work. Double-clicking on each item doesn't help either. I have a 2018 and am using V15.00.xxx, if that is of any help.

Also one dumb, but very important question, how do I disconnect the VCI cable from the OBDII port? It appears to be locked onto the OBDII port, and it doesn't just want to pull off, and I can't find a latch to release either.

I'm 99% sure this is your issue because I had the same issue, and the Tactrix cable solved everything. Even the unplugging from the OBD2 was easier. The china version has a weird clip that you have to wiggle hard to get off. The Tactrix works flawlessly. It's expensive, but worth it.

There are a few places that provide activation keys. I used the MHH Auto forum. A fee is required and there are some hoops that you have to jump through. It was worth it to me.

I got the tactrix openport 2.0, techstream 14.20.019 loaded up on a window 10 pro laptop. Plugged into my 2013 tacoma with airbag light and the passenger side seatbelt light that never goes off that I am trying to fix. Opened TechStream and it complained about not being online, disregarded that. Went to srs airbag live and it says I have a occupant classification system malfunction (plenty of stored history stuff but I expect that as I had a bunch of stuff disconnected while rebuilding). I then went to Occupant detection live and its complaining about passenger side bucket switch circuit. Went to Utility under Occupant Detection live and tried to run zero point calibration. Followed the steps with the seat position, etc... then I hit next and it says "lost communications with the vehicle. Press OK to reinitialize the ECU and return to the top of current function". This is only time I see this. Ran it 10 times and every time I get the same error at the exact same place. However now on the Occupant detection live screen I now see B1797 calibration abnormal. When I do the datalist I see what I think I should see and the pressure sensor output of the passenger seat I think looks good. Passenger buckle SW has a value of NG but I am not sure if thats normal. Any ideas on how to fix this and get the seat calibrated? I am posting pics to help paint the picture. Thanks well in advance.

On my buddy's 2020 AT with PTS, when you put the truck in park and open the drivers door, with the engine running, the truck starts beeping constantly until you shut the door. The beep is one such as you would hear if you left the key in the ignition of a car without PST. Is there an option to turn this off with techstream?

I have no clue, but I will try to connect and see what I have for those NG values.

For the 2020+ Tacos there is an option in the Customize / Wireless Door Lock menu to turn off the door chime. I tried it on two Tacos and was not successful though.

It sounds like @ktbell444 has a clue.

I fixed it. Pictures below. Story time here. Still cant do a zero point calibration. Seat is all the way back and in full upright locked position (I have a bench so there is only one setting for upright), and it only goes so far back before it hits the wall. Calibration gives same error about losing connection but it gets far enough to get rid of the calibration error.

My issue was one of Donkeyness. No, thats not fair to donkeys. It was just bone headed. I at some point disconnected a harness you cant see while the seat is in the cab. My boy and I pulled the bench out so I could start checking resistance readings in each harness, and I went through everything and found a disconnected hardness all the way on the passenger side back. Pretty sure its the buckle that Techstream was screaming about. I plugged it back in, moved the bench back to the truck, plugged everything else in, turned on the car and plugged in techstream. As expected the buckle switch error went away in the occupancy detection live menu. But I still had the calibration abnormal and the lights. Like I mentioned above ran the zero point calibration, got the lost communication error, clicked ok, but then the calibration abnormal message went away and was just history now, not active. So I cleared all the errors and my Airbag light went away and the passenger side seatbelt light under the radio went out. VICTORY!

So the moral of the story is recheck all your work... Multiple times if you are bone headed like me. Thank you to those that got techstream working for me so I could troubleshoot my forgetfulness.

Trying to reset LV / AT due to poor mileage post (undisclosed) tune...

Getting a system select wizard error message: selected system is not responding.

Am I forgetting something? this tune has me perplexed for what’s going on w/ECU

Btw, might need to get with either you or Jville guy by end of summer if a reflash is necessary. Can only reset values and down here in WPB.
