Quick overnight trip this past weekend. A bit chilly Sun morning at 5*F, but totally awesome weather otherwise

First error code was E-05 which the interweb said was for overheating. Thought that could have been due to my intake tube replacement since the paper/metal tube ripped. I tried straightening that out. Once it shut down, I tried restarting, which it did. 2nd error code was E-10, which the web said could be damn near anything. Once I got home, I tried the original intake tube. Still wouldn't stay running and still giving me E-10 errors.

I sent it back. Thanks Amazon and your free returns, ha. I'm going to try another one and see what happens.

In the RTTs in particular. I have been thinking of getting a diesel powered heater but wondering if there’s a more affordable and efficient solution.

Do you use a heater at night? I'm thinking of getting a diesel 3k heating for such outings.

Heavy insulated pants and good boots are key on the colder days. Plus extra layers in general. A lot of people will run a Buddy heater for 10-20 minutes in the tent to warm everything up before they go to bed. Some even run it throughout the night, but I personally wouldn't do that. (Unless I had an anex, then would probably set it up on a hard surface down there were it couldn't be knocked over)

The past weekend I had a silk base layer, merino wool layer, a fleece jacket followed by a down jacket. While hanging around , wool socks, synthetic long underwear and I pull a pair of Carhart insulated overalls on over my pants and over my fleece but under my jacket.

Hahaha! I love this spot. Took my now girlfriend here on our trip out to CO. She still talks about how horrible it was, like digging in a desert and stuff. It was in June though so a little warm...
