So I went to my local collision center and they painted it for me. This was before my discovery of plastidip. If I were to do it again, It'd be plastidip w/ the glossifier. Would look just like this

Nice job. That’s a good looking vehicle and one of the best looking grilles I’ve seen.

Added the trd badge to mine.

The 3rd Gen Pro grilles are the best looking out there (IMO), but like every else said, everyone has them too. But, they have also become synonymous with "off-road/all-terrain" Tacomas to the point that the average Joe doesn't know any different and would just think they came from the factory that way. The 3rd Gen Pro versions look much better than the 2nd Gen's which is why I ended up staying with what I have.

I've always like the billet grill, but I guess I thought they wouldn't work with the TSS. I assume since you have a 19, I was wrong?

I bought a pro replica grill and when I received it I was not impressed with the look and the letters were missing so I returned it and decided that I would try something out on the stock 2016 cheesegrater grill. It's currently chrome (stock) and I think I want to tint the cheesegrater parts darker with some black chrome spray and not sure if I want to black out the cross bar part or leave it... The black on inferno combo looks better than chrome IMO.

I have a Cloudrider bug juicer (metal screen) behind the grille that allows the two prongs to be screwed on to.

I got the 2020 off-road grillE on my 2017 off-road. Liked it better than the bro grillE I had from eBay. The used 2020 off-road grille can be had for a 100$ if you get lucky .

It works just fine. The issue is that removing the old grill is very difficult since some of those stupid frigging plastic tabs WILL break, no way to prevent that. Sadly, the TRex instructions don't mention that, nor give a good method for removing the old grill. I was able to do it breaking only 1 of them, so it is still a usable stock grill that I will sell at some point. The TSS thingy is also hard to remove, but if you are VERY careful and take your time, it will come out and you can use it just fine in the new grill. Somewhere in TW I posted pics of my grill removal and installation...found it: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-grille-installation-with-eye-candy.675257/#post-23743540

Go for the stock 2020 TRD grill. I really like it, but I am somewhat bias...
