Pics, I just got done doing the shocks on the Jeep. Had to cut the front ones off. They don't even spring back when you compress them.

just got back from snow wheeling in george washington national forest. i've lived in virginia my entire life (minus the last three years of school in fl) and i have never been snow wheeling before this. it was so much fun.....but very sketchy as well. almost losh a door panel after sliding 20 feet down a hill on the trail. the go-pro worked great, i'm working on pictures and video as i type this, but unfortunately HD takes forever to upload. i'll post everything up when it's done.
for anyone on facebook, by friend with the land rover got some pictures up, so you can see that album through my profile. it was pretty dangerous to stop on most of the trail, so the pictures are pretty much just poser pics. still fun though :)

You live in VA and you've never been snow wheeling? shame on you:p

 on the video. What's your friends name? I'm facebook retarded and trying to find these pics you speak of.

I had a pretty exciting day to. My family did that indoor skydiving in Orlando. Oh man, what a rush that was.

i know i know...it's a waste to never have been before. i call it bad timing. i've been wheeling in the winter plenty, but there nevers seems to be snow.

guy in the land rover is douglas stephens. he has some pictures. the guy in the first gen is Peter, but he didn't take any pictures.

    here are the videos :)

the go-pro was fantastic, but unfortunatelty with teh low light and snow everywhere, everything is washed out, and there isn't much depth perception in the videos. when you see the hood go up and down, most of those aer actually 3-4 foot woops.

this one scared the piss out of me. video doesn't show it, but this was a really steep hill. it was all ice under the snow. if you turn up the volume, you can hear my abs going off like crazy. going fast in this video was not intentional like it was in the first. then at 1:30 i started sliding sideways at the wrong time and almost hit the pole at the exit gate of the trail. if you put it in hd and full screen you can see the 4 skid marks where the land rover did the exact same thing.

i'll try to get the pictures up for all you non facebookers later tonight

Nice, we went to SkyVenture this summer when we were down there. It was awesome! I didn't know what I was doing, but I'd always sink to the bottom.

    I found the pics. Thanks.

I can really hear the abs in that third video and that must have been freaky sliding towards that pole.

It was incredible. Maybe they didn't have the wind speed up enough or you were too curved. My favorite part is when the instructor took you really high and did the spins.

How are you liking the snow up there? Too bad you don't have the Taco. I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you took the Sentra down a couple trails. Then you can show her why your rear bumper is better.

It was great seeing more snow. It wasnt enough to get the roads icy or anything. We drove back today and when we got here still had some snow and ice still stuck to it. Everyone was asking where we came from lol.

it was not the most fun wheeling experience i've had. the abs did it's job extremely well though, i had control over my steering the entire time. it's only under about 5mph that abs screws you over, and that happened to be right at the pole. a set of sliders that stick out bast the bulge of the body panel would have been nice though.

Yeah that part at the end was my favorite also. He made it look like no skill was involved when he was showing off by himself, but I know he has been doing it quite a bit to get good at it. Our "instructor" said he'd only been skydiving out of a plane 5 times.

They probably thought you were alien.

There never seems to be enough protection, truck wise that is:cool: Just kidding. When you have the opportunity, sliders are great piece of mind. They also protect your doors from other peoples and I'd imagine they'd put a nice dent in the edge of their door.

Well they do spend all day in that tunnel so I don't think they need much jumping experience to be good at busting a move there. By any chance was your instructor's name Nevin?

That's true, I bet it would be nice to work there, and be able to skydive when it's not busy. I don't remember if his name was Nevin or not. It was a guy in his early-mid 20's if that helps.

and here is the advantage of removing your sewaybar before you wheel. icons use a stiffer than normal, regressive spring, so with a progressive or constant rate spring like on most other coilovers, you'll flex even easier than this :)
