    Not with the Yakima attached. Essentially I was just using the OEM in the stowed posistion as side rails to mount the lowriders too.

    It was a prototype that he didn't charge me for... Brandon is a good buddy. That being said, I can't imagine he'd charge some crazy number. Call him up and ask. However, with that being said, everyone mounts their bars in different configurations, so you'd need to give Brandon the measurements you have/ want.

    My truck came with the OEM, so I am glad I didn't have to decide. I love the convience of the rack as to whether you want to extend the bars or not. I put a set of Thule kayak racks on it and it works really well when hauling my tandem kayak around.

    i just put on my OEM rack i picked up for $150.

    the only thing i am not sure i like or maybe i did the install wrong... the cross arms just dont swing out,m you have to take them off, then switch the front for the back? if that right?

    I went with the OEM rack and a Bajarack basket for the Tacoma. I have a scanguageII and there really isn't any difference in the gas mileage when the basket is empty so I just leave it on the rack all the time.

    I stow two oversized tent-cots in the basket when we hit the desert.

    I have the OEM rack and use it for my Old Town canoe. The racks dimensions make it easy to secure the canoe and in addition are "always there" if I am at home depot and need to bring back some very long piece of wood that will not fit in bed. I have had Thule racks in the past with other vehicles and they are fine, but taking them on/off is a pain and they are noisy if you just leave them on. Having the convienience of a built in system is worth the cost.
